"Further Links" - group access limitation?

Post by Don Chambers »

Can we get a configuration item for the "Further Links" admin sidebar item? When experimenting with group access rights, it occurs to me that some sites have authors logged into serendipity, but they have nothing more than read rights... seems ridiculous to have links to the s9y homepage, s9y blog, s9y forums, etc.

Hi!

Why not have those links? IMHO it's also a nice way of marketing to those authors that Serendipity's at work :)

(If you need it specifically, you can always use the CSS display:none magic, or a custom event plugin to rule the box out)

Because in the example I provided, I feel it is inappropriate. We already have the ability to hide admin sidebar items based on group permissions.... I think my request is consistent with current capabilities.
