Suddenly lost access to install script

Yesterday I managed to install s9y using my previous database and it work - the site was live. Today I found I could not edit any entries (all came up blank) so I ran the install script again to try to fix this. I made one change ("serendipity" to "c4909627") which must have been a mistake. Now I can't run the script at all. As soon as I point the brrowser at the serendipity directory I get:

Query failed: Table 'c4909627_zenblog.c4909627_entries' doesn't exist

J tried uploading all the s9y files again and also cleared the browser cache for s9y but no luck. How or where can I clear the wrong information to start the install again?

Delete your serendipity_config_local.inc.php on the server. That's the file that stores your database settings.

Thanks very much - that was the answer.

I still can't edit any of my own previous posts - they come up blank - but as a workaround I bring up a second instance of the blog and copy & paste the text from there.
