[Solved] Upgrade 1.6.2 => 1.7 Config. BaseURL lost

Hi,
I just have upgrade two blogs from a fresh 1.6.2. installation to 1.7.
I noticed the following in the Admin Interface, Configuration, Path: The field for
"URL to blog Base URL to your serendipity installation" was empty.

However the correct URL is still in the database table config::BaseURL.

But when you update/save the configuration without writing the correct value in that filed the old value in the database gets overwritten with an empty string and subsequently the corresponding smarty variable is empty, too.

Update: I just saw a new parameter in the db.config table: "defaultBaseURL". That's the one the admin interface seems to write to. "BaseURL" is untouched.

There might be a variable name mismatch somewhere. Seems to me like "defaultBaseURL" is inserted the first time the configuration is saved in 1.7.
(autodetect_baseURL is false in my blogs)
[end of update]

Which, at least in the case of my blog, has a negative side-effect.

Hope that helps.
Yours
John

Setup: Serendipity 1.7 and PHP 5.3.14 In the brand new 2k11 template (with default admin interface) and also a custom template based on the older competition theme with its own admin style. Screenshots available on request.
