Guys
First off thanks for great software, I have been using serendipity for quite a few years now and it has been pretty solid.
I have just moved my serendipity blog to another server and upgraded it from 1.2 to 1.6.
Everything is working great except the Contact Form.
Any attempt to use it whether from a logged in user or not logged in user gives the same error.
Name, E-Mail and your message must not be an empty string.
You did not specify the replyTo field!
This is at the top of the form in red letters.
There is no error log being produced from this and near as I can tell no attempt being made to send the email.
I have tried messing with the settings in spam block ie removing the list of required fields etc and it made no difference.
Can someone help me with this ??
It is perhaps more likely to be something I have missed than a bug.
Googling around and searching this forum is not bringing up anything that I have been able to use so fer.
Many thanks in advance
Andy Kirby

Re: Contact Form Fails
Maybe you configured the spamblock to include the 'replyto' field as a required field?
If freeing this doesn't help, you might have a cache compile issue. Please empty the templates_c directory or the specific contactform file in it.

Re: Contact Form Fails
I'm new and recently installed the 1.7 beta rc3 and I don't even see a contact us.
What am I missing here that I don't even see it? I don't see a contact.php file in the root, is it under a different name and stored somewhere other than the root?
Thanks
Dan

Its a plugin. You have to install first to play with it.

Re: Contact Form Fails
Sorted needed to remote replyto from spamblocker and then purge off the cached templates. Works OK now.Timbalu wrote:Maybe you configured the spamblock to include the 'replyto' field as a required field?

Thanks for that, and again excellent software guys.
