Sorry about the delay in answering...was waiting for him to restore the back-up so I could see what version. It's: v1.0.1 I personally didn't think s9y had anything to do with it, probably something along the lines of what judebert mentioned...perhaps ftp level....donno. Anyway, I gave him the link ...

hackable?
What are the chances of s9y being hacked into? ...and through s9y getting root of a server?
On vps of a colleague, where I had s9y installed for one of his sites, someone got in and messed things up. So he's wondering about the chances of it happening through s9y.

Hi! Okay, as I've guessed: chmod execution is not possible on your current host. You need to contact your support for changing them, if using your FTP access doesn'T work either! Best regards, Garvin Is it an easy permission (execution) for the admin to set? What should I ask for, because it would ...

Hi! Hm, it seems that on your current server the permissions cannot be changed by PHP! You could try to remove every '@' character in the fixperms.php script, that should give you some extra error messages. Best regards, Garvin Without the @: starting... <br /> <b>Warning</b>: chmod() [<a href='fun...

Re: chmod problem
Hi! Hm, that fixperms.php script should do the work! What happens if you call it? What output do you get? Regards, Garvin Ok, well, the above was the output from that other script. When running the fixperms.php (edited) I get the following: Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: Operation not permitted...

Re: chmod problem
Hi! You could try the "fixperm.php" script mentioined in the FAQ on www.s9y.org to change permissions? The php_uname thing is unrelated and not really problematic; it just means that your provider seems to use a non-standard PHP installation or on an exotic operating system? HTH, Garvin I...

Hi! Okay. You are downgrading your MySQL to an older server. Maybe you can instead migrate to a server that also has MySQL 4.1. MySQL 4.0 also performs a lot slower than your old hoster. ....or ask them to upgrade....which they kindly did. MySQL 4.1.21-standard Works now, although still seams somet...

language mess-up on move
I'm moving servers, and was having problems importing the DB on the new server. I read somewhere here that it needed to be exported as mysql4. That helped! Problem is, the text from the site is in French, and on the new server, after DB import, it's all there, but the accents are messed up. It seams...

Grüße, Garvin Thanks Garvin for the solution and thanks to Google Language tools, to unders...

Re: Paypal donation/subscription
Hi! You could just copy+paste this (resp. the output of it) into a HTML nugget plugin. All the output is just simple HTML plus some javascript that would work without any PHP at all. Best regards, Garvin I tried runing the file on my localhost, and I get errors: Fatal error: Call to a member functi...

Paypal donation/subscription
Someone made a cool plugin in another CMS, for paypal, which works to donate once or monthly etc. I wanted to use it on some of my S9Y sites, but don't know how to edit the code so that it runs on it's own. Here it is: <?php /** * AkoDonate - A Mambo Paypal Donate Module * @version 1.0 * @package Ak...
