How to distinct archive overview pages (P2.html) from others

Hi all,

is there a variable (like $is_single_entry) to identify an archive page with multiple entries like it can be done with category page with {if $category}?

Thanks for helping me out!

Thanks -- it worked like a charm. Simply added: {elseif $staticpage_pagetitle}MS-Reporter.de: {$staticpage_pagetitle} and received a correct title or meta-description -- just what I liked. Serendipity is SE_friendly but with building some Smarty queries, it's a SE booster. Great job with s9y! Achim

Just as a feedback: using your tips and changing the paths before importing the database locally worked like charm: complete migration done in less than 30 minutes.

Thanks again! Finally, I can develop locally before bringing it on the web.
Great!

OK, thanks -- I'll try that in a few hours. But ... read below: I tried a full SQL dump first but I get the error that it can't override existing tables (from the local scratch installation) -- do you have a way on how to solve that? Therefore I deleted table by table and replaced it my a table SQL ...

I'm not sure but I think that this file is created while installing Serendipity. It's placed in your installation directory and contains the following code: <?php /* Serendipity configuration file Written on Sat, 07 Apr 2007 19:03:41 +0200 */ $serendipity['versionInstalled'] = '1.1'; $serendipity['d...

Hm, I see there entries like "serendipity_event_karma" or none -- both on the live server and on the local installation. I have no idea in what to change there for the local installation ... is there a hint for me? Thanks! Achim Update: Screenshot local installation table: http://www.ms-re...

Plugins/Sidebar on Local Mirror for development and testing

For development and testing purposes, I did a local installation of my blog. What I did: Using MAMP on OS X, Serendipity installation was fine, as was the template and entries SQL import. The plugin migration seems to fail . I did a SQL import of the *plugin* tables and a copy of the /plugin/ direct...

I like the layout, too -- nice heritage style.

Just a little remark regarding the text style: It would be more readable if there were some hightlighting oder other structuring elements besides the paragraph spacers. Maybe you could try using <strong> or other highlighting techniques.

A reader from here put a link to the MS-Reporter in the German Wikipedia, which is really great and appreciated!

Static pages with individual meta-tag "description"

Now that I'm using custom fields for every entry to fill the meta-tags description and keywords for every single entry page, I have two more needs : The first one, using custom fields for static pages was discussed in this thread , unfortunately resulting in a recipe that doesn't work for meta-info....

Thanks, Judebert,

this was exactly what I intended to do if there's no other way to manage that.

I will try this around the holidays.

Happy Easter!

Update: It works, thank you! (see also my follow-up questions if you like)
