Re: Warnings and info messages on my index page
So running a svn checkout will not give me current plugins, and leave me with outdated software that is more current in the release tarball? No, I expect it should give you all there is..., but somehow it must have failed, while you had these deprecated notices, which are not in there with current ...

Re: Warnings and info messages on my index page
It seems you are using Serendipity 1.5.5 and PHP 5.3.3, which should work fine. But it seems you are also using an outdated version of the spamblock plugin not the one included in the release file of serendipity 1.5.5. Maybe there is more... Just grab the 1.5.5 full release zip file and copy its da...

Re: Warnings and info messages on my index page
Hi, Most probably you either set $serendipity['production'] = false somewhere, or used error_reporting either through ini_set or through htaccess, or through your provider's php.ini. The messages themselves are fixed in s9y 1.5 though, and you should really upgrade (due to security issues). After up...

Thanks!garvinhicking wrote:s9y has no high level function for that yet, sadly. But you can easily truncate (not drop) the table, without the need to reinstall a plugin. Of course, first backup the data you want to backup

Re: Clean up spamblocklog and visitors tables?
Does that also apply to the visitors table?onli wrote:As far as I know, you can even delete the spamblocklogtable, reinstall the plugin, and the table should get recreated. If you delete the content of the table a reinstall of the plugin shouldn't be necessary.

Clean up spamblocklog and visitors tables?
Hi, I would like to clean up my spamblocklog and visitors tables as they take up quite a big amount of disk space. Do I break my s9y installation by simply zapping all records older than january 2009 according to Unix timestamp (spamblocklog) or date/time (visitors)? Or does s9y have a high-level fr...

Feature Suggestion: "Post Followup"
Hi, how about having a "Post Followup" link right beside the "Edit Entry" button? The "Post Followup" button would bring up a new entry with category, tags and subject copied over from the article "being followed up", and a link to the original entry prepared ...

Re: Spam Filter? Require a certain number of words?
How about trying to reject this via mod_rewrite or custom PHP code in your serendipity_config_local.inc.php? That saves you a lot of processing power. Something along the lines of if (strlen($_REQUEST['excerpt']) < 5) { die('Die already, s.o.b.'); } Wouldn't that catuch things shorter than five cha...

Spam Filter? Require a certain number of words?
Hi, a persistent spammer on my blog posts ads that have a very short command/trackback body. Would it be possible to extend s9y to require a (configurable) number of words in the comment/trackback to have it accepted? I'd like to be able to automatically reject comments/trackbacks shorter than five ...

Chokes when deleting more than 200 Trackbacks in a row
Hi, over the last few days, trackback spammers have been rather active, and I had 277 trackbacks pending approval in my blog. I selected "show all, pending approval", got a big page of 277 trackbacks, clicked on "reverse selection" and "delete selected", was asked wheth...

Re: Nailed it!
I haven't really tried to trigger the issue yet, but at least iceweasel and konqueror allow me to log in again and do not throw me back to the login screen when I do things in the admin suite. Three days later, the issue has not shown any more, so I'd like to call this case closed. I have learned a...

Re: Nailed it!
Thanks for spotting this. Looks like the reverse proxy is acting up as I see the cookie's domain rewritten in earlier requests. I'll do a trace on the circuit between reverse proxy and application. Apache can be configured to rewrite the domain. The necessary configuration on the reverse proxy is P...

Hi! Here's your problem: Set-Cookie: serendipity[old_session]=f2f84bd24f36d30dd8bc180be7292515; expires=Tue, 22-Apr-2008 08:15:31 GMT; path=/; domain=127.0.0.1:1312 Your server sets a cookie for 127.0.0.1:1312 domain, but your browser rejects this cookie. I think this is caused by a reverse proxy y...

Nailed it!
Hi, finally, I have session data _and_ live headers. Here is what I did: - delete blog.zugschlus.de cookies - close firefox - open firefox - verify that s9y_option has 0 rows - verify that blog.zugschlus.de cookies are still gone - start live headers - start watchsession -1- call up blog -2- call se...
