Re: hidden codes and a theme

You can do that with the event plugin HTML-Code inside head (HTML-Head Nugget).

Re: 404 pages default to index page

This is more of a comment for theme developers.... In the Timeline theme, $view=='404' gives the visitor a search box, a back button and a homepage button. I think those three things might be most valuable to visitors who trigger a 404. An example of this can be seen at this non-existent url on the ...

I'll try to test this soon. You mentioned existing images would not be touched. Could that be an option?

Re: Long posts

Most (but not all) themes will work as you described if you use the post's "extended body" for the portion you want to see after a visitor clicks on a "read more" link, and use just the "entry body" for the intro portion of the post.

Re: Timeline - No Sharebuttons in article overwiew

That would override the plugin setting (which is exactly what Mario is reporting). YL That is absolutely correct. I didn't feel that sort of data made a lot of visual sense in the t...

Re: Timeline - No Sharebuttons in article overwiew

I just saw this thread. The Timeline theme is very unique and may not work the way other themes work. I will install that plugin on the demo and see if the theme can be modified to work as you expect.

Can you provide a URL to where it is NOT working as expected?

Re: Cache-busting versioning strings

Hmmm.. that does seem interesting... but then you have serendipity.css and serendipity.js with a version equal to template change, but your theme's master.js version equal to a theme specific version?? Does that work ok?

Smart @$$!!!

Great idea. Probably good to add to preview_iframe.tpl as well.
