Re: Beitragstitel in "admin" geändert

Re: Error -- serendipity error: unable to connect to databas

So is it access to the database that might be the issue? That is what we were talking about. Again Marge, check you db credentials in the config_local inc file (see above) and double check them with an independent "connect_test.php" file you make yourself and which can be found on the php...

Re: Major site lag after moving to new web hoster

I remembered I once had this with a blog I have to look up from time to time, see http://board.s9y.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19752&p=10438464&hilit=spamblocklog#p10438464 These tables had about 0.9 GB. And I used queries like this: DELETE FROM `s_spamblocklog` WHERE reason='No API-created ...

Re: Major site lag after moving to new web hoster

If the tables are still too big, what else can be done to safely shrink them? If that really is the case, delete old logs and old visitors by hand with some nice query and/or not using these table logs at all. How big are they? What about your domains - do they have the same access rate? I takes ab...

Re: Major site lag after moving to new web hoster

the older one of my blogs exhibits severe lag when browsing through the site I currently simply have no idea what you mean by this.... (Maybe, you mean the older blog takes as while to load each page?) Where is the problem, the issue you have? We also have a german part of the forum. Maybe that is ...

Re: Sticky Post for responsive Templates?

And another btw... if you play around changing themes by demo, is there a way to get back to the origin "Serendipity" theme without having to twist around with cookies? and why do we have an "All" list sorted by alphabet for capitalized themes and again for lowercased themes at t...

Re: Break inserter before table

There are even some more options for this sort of problem: If using the PLAIN TEXT Editor, you can also use the NoBr Button to surround text parts, which shall not react on NL2BR (like tables). The other option is using the WYSIWYG-Editor (CKEditor), which will not run NL2BR automatically with Seren...

Re: Sticky Post for responsive Templates?

I think this is totally independent, cause else you would then have to wait for a 2.x release.
The Copy is a thing of minutes and then available for all.

Re: Sticky Post for responsive Templates?

BTW I think we should copy (not move!) all core themes (except 'default' and the special and PHP themes) to Spartacus (additional_themes). Imagine you are a new user, you get easily directed to the page http://spartacus.s9y.org/index.php?mode=template_all, which holds all themes. At least it says i...

Re: Calendar not showing

Hi

Install the serendipity_plugin_calendar sidebar plugin. This was installed by standard until Serendipity 2.0, but we felt it had its best times over to be a default installed plugin with 2.0+.

Have fun!

Re: Error -- serendipity error: unable to connect to databas

I don' t know why you thought an upgrade to PHP 5.6 would solve the issue. I am pretty sure it will make things even worse, since you are still on Serendipity 1.5.1, which was not designed with PHP 5.6 in mind. (Edit: Btw, and to make this clear, while being able to still use 5.3.x or 5.4.x PHP serv...

This was already asked and answered with yes by the ISP!

Is this thread getting a "too many cooks spoil the broth" confusion? :)

Re: Error -- serendipity error: unable to connect to databas

But you need a newer php version for that, which could mean you need to upgrade your server operating system. This is not true. PHP is at: 5.4.43, which is near the last state of Debian Wheezy (for example), as far as I remember. And would be OK even with upcoming 2.1. How risky is it to do an upgr...
