Re: admin login fails on new database

I think, if I understand Anthony correct - he installed a fresh serendipity and copied the old db (from an older serendipity version) into it. I'm not an expert but isn't the better way to either upgrade serendipity before or after the move? This oneversionintotheother sounds a bit messy to me and m...

Re: PHP script within a page?

If you are sure the Smarty engine (btw a very old one) is an includement only bei Yald, and not changed, you could try to make Yald use the Smarty engine of Serendipity only, which would avoid that problem. Yald is very small, only containing of a handful of files. So I suppose I could try that. Hm...

Re: Is there a dropdown-menu-plugin?

Hi, do you mean in the top menu that's usually above the blog entries? I don't know about Bulletproof and it's unique plugins but you could take a look at this website to get some nice example code for different CSS menus. It shouldn't be too hard to adapt that into the serendipity layout when you k...

Re: Mimbo

Wonder why no one's ever reported that one … Probably because I was the only to not notice the open div when checking  Thanks~ Can't remember the non-rewriting URL, on mod_rewrite systems it's just /serendipity/archive/. I see. Here I have two archive links available: http://localhost/~blo...

Re: Mimbo

Small follow-up question, the <h2> tag that is supposed to format the static page headline isn't having any effect. <h2>{$staticpage_headline|@escape}</h2> It works fine when I format text in the static page content field. Is that maybe related to this fix? Also, yellowled, what is the entries_summa...

Re: PHP script within a page?

Hm, I'm not sure if I understand it correct. I have a logic disorder, so programming really isn't my cup of tea, although I grasp some basics. It takes me a very long time to understand the steps. I tested the iFrame wrap now and it works fine but I don't want this as permanent solution. So tried th...

Re: Mimbo

For me, it does . Also, index.php?/pages/pagetitle.html does work [ ... ] They do not for me. You have it reversed? o.O Do you use URL rewriting on lighty? I'm using the fastcgi php5 here, are you using the same? mod_rewrite is disabled and using fastcgi php5 as well, yes. Here is a longshot.... se...

Re: PHP script within a page?

Hi,

that sounds a bit too complicated for my skills. I managed to set up a little homepage with php arrays but that was very simple and had no foreign code to edit.

But with so much choice, what is the best or cleanest option to include an external php application? :?

Re: Mimbo

Hi Garvin, thank you for taking your time :) Do you have modified anything in the permalink and/or path configuration? No, I tried with my testblog and with a fresh install in which I really did nothing but install Spartacus, Mimbo and Static Pages, and tried everything with default settings. Does t...

Re: Mimbo

Beware, this is not update-safe, i.e. in case of an update to Mimbo (kind of unlikely unless I resolve the static pages issue by editing the tpl files after all), these changes will be overwritten, which is easy to overlook given it's not a visible change. Make sure you keep backups of the tpl file...

Re: PHP script within a page?

Hi, thanks for your answer. Iframes are something I would only use as last option. I don't really like that solution when there's a direct possibility. Eniways, I had a long break using Serendipity and apparently need to look more carefully into the documentation before I ask things here. Looks like...

PHP script within a page?

Hi, this is not really a plugin question but I don't know where to go with it... :? I would like to have a external php show up in place of a static page or entry, is this possible? What I want to do is using phpHoo3 (yes yes, it's ancient but I like the layout a lot) for link management and then na...

Re: Mimbo

Actually, no. By adding /archive/ to your blog URL, you get to the standard archives, but I guess that doesn't work anyway since you don't seem to use URL rewriting. Ah. Yes, that doesn't work. You'll have to add a second custom field called i.e. MimboImageAlt. Three tpl files actually use these im...
