Guestbook plugin
There are some questions I would like to ask about the guestbook plugin. It could well be that they answers have to do with the plugin, it could also well be that the answers have to do with the theme used. Also, with me having made a stupid configuration mistake. My current testing page is h...

Re: Next Theme
Getting acquainted with the Next theme, today I had the opprtunity to test it under an elderly Firefox (actually, Iceweasel 20.0 under Linux). I just want to report that the theme is displayed incorrectly, the main text area seems to be rendered slightly too wide, so that the sidebar doesn't fit bes...

Re: Static Pages: try to fix or wait for new version
Thanks a lot, Ian - I will look at what staticpages does under Bulletproof (the first template I used for a project, it was for a friend some years ago) to get an idea and inquire here again if I have questions.

Bernd

Re: Next Theme
Nearly nothing, really - the author's name is a link in articles and isn't one in static pages - and at the moment, I am not even aware (and cannot check from here) how static pages are even included in a search by author, so maybe it wouldn't even make sense to make it a link.

Re: Next Theme
Thank you, YL.
So, there is only one visual difference left between how static pages and articles are displayed in Next, and that one is quite negligible.
Looking forward to use 2.02!

Re: Static Pages: try to fix or wait for new version
First, I do hope I did not give the impression to be demanding, if I did, please accept my apologies. I am really, honestly thankful for S9Y (including the plugins) "as is". On the other hand, I do like to ask here if I notice stuff that seems odd to me, with a special eye on consistency. ...

Re: Static Pages: try to fix or wait for new version
I'm just waiting if you have some more in mind. :) Well, I am not holding anything back, I just have to find the time to have a good look and to write down my thoughts. I am doing the present project for a free church (that's the kind that doesn't get church tax money in Germany) which I belong to,...

Re: Static Pages: try to fix or wait for new version
OK. The code to supress the pipe character works fine, btw, but I still wonder why it is there in the first place... Another question for Garvin, probably, IIRC you are the one coding the new static pages plugin: What are you going to change? Any idea when you will release? And yes, I know that S9Y ...

Not going to, that's what I meant by "standard".
Thanks a lot, will do so.

Re: s9y_plugin_imagesidebar with s9y_event_lightbox?
Thanks.
Well, it does parse images in sidebar HTML nuggets, see here http://efg-test.xf1.de/ (upper image provided by plugin_imagesidebar, lower by HTML-Nugget).Timbalu wrote:(...) the lightbox plugin parses entries content only, not sidebars content.

s9y_plugin_imagesidebar with s9y_event_lightbox?
Hi, I am using the serendipity_plugin_imagesidebar and serendipity_event_lightbox. The lightbox works fine for images within articles and static pages, but not for those used by imagesidebar. I could of course just use a HTML-nugget to display an image in the sidebar, but I want to use imagesidebar`...

I will use serendipity_plugin_imagesidebar - could you recommend an optimal output width for a standard Next blog, please?

Re: Static Pages: try to fix or wait for new version
I am likely having a not so bright moment here, but which setting would that be? I assume by static page info you are refering to the author/date line.yellowled wrote: A lot of people actually turn off the static page info altogether (in the plugin config).

Re: Next Theme
I can confirm the behaviour for Chromium and Firefox on Linux now. Which one, the disappearing hamburger icon? No, the one we talked about last in this thread - the non-disappearing magnifying glass. The text-next-to-hamburger-icon one is solved already. ;-) I only mentioned it to demonstrate that ...
