s9y-users.com? Need an updated directory!

As most people know, s9y-users.com is no longer being maintained, and the "Who Is Using" page is severely outdated. One of the main reasons I adopt anything is by examples. If there are no current examples of people using s9y, people will think that s9y might not be a good weblog script, w...

"Contact Form" + "Start Page" plugins

Hi Garvin et. al, I have the "Properties/Templates of categories" and the "Start Page" plugins installed. Just now, I installed the "Contact Form" plugin. Right now, the "Contact Form" uses the "Start Page" category template. Is it possible to specif...

Any updates for this?

Categories are set up as our users' blogs.
So the ability to limit who has access to which category would be great from a security perspective.

The ability to set the categories in the "Manage Groups" administrative area would be ideal.

<title> Tag and Paginated Pages

Hi everyone! Just wondering if it is currently possible to detect if someone is on a paginated page (eg. the "Previous Page" and "Next Page" links at the bottom of the blog entries)? I noticed that if you are on a paginated page that the <title> tag isn't dynamic and simply dupli...

*bump*

Can somebody outline what is needed in the config.inc.php file?

I couldn't find any documentation on the serendipity_categoryURL() function.
A link to the documentation could help as well!

Thanks in advance!

Hi judebert, WLW seems to auto-detect S9Y as a provider now, so I can't manually change that to "Custom (Moveable Type API)" and inserting the link to /serendipity_xmlrpc.php. I do have the XMLRPC plugin installed, as our posts from WLW do get posted, but it does throw the "Invalid Se...

Hi Garvin, When I use Live Writer to post I get the following error: Invalid Server Response. The response to the metaWeblog.editPost method received from the weblog server was invalid: Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server The entry gets posted in S9Y, but i'm guessing the newest ch...

"I did not know about it" in respect of plug-in functionality seems unfortunately common, an improvement in plug-in descriptions would therefore probably be really useful This is one of my pet peeves with S9Y. S9Y is already quite powerful, but I never know which plugin is the one I want....

RSS Aggregator and "Filter Expression"

Hi Garvin,

I have a question about the RSS Aggregator plugin.

Can the plugin somehow import specialty namespace attributes from an RSS 2.0 feed into S9Y using the "Filter Expression" option in the plugin?

Thanks for reading!

Hi Garvin,

Thanks for the info!

After looking at yellowled's Mimbo port again, I found out where I was going wrong!

He used the attribute {if $view == start} in order to find out if it was the start page, whereas the category I wanted to apply the aggregating feature was a secondary category.

Aggregating other category entries on a category index.tpl

Hi everyone, I have a main category called "news" and a few sub-categories called "events" and "press". What I want to do on the "news" category index page is aggregate the last 5 entries for each sub-category. eg. <h1>News category</h1> <p>Some description ab...
