categ. x not on front, but as titles in sidebar: howto?

hello! i was scanning the forum for a while, but did not find the appropriate method for this problem. in our little free newspaper we want to have normal articles, and private "small advertisements" too. the ads should not show up on the frontpage. it would be fine, if they could be displ...

Re: How? "Extended Body" field open without extra

Thanky you very much, that's it. I just try to avoid any unnecessary click for my shy users ;-) i added the missing line with <?php tag in your advisory, to cut only this php part.. (im learning) [quote="garvinhicking"]Hi! Just modify this: <?php if ((!empty($entry['extended']) || !empty($...

How? "Extended Body" field open without extra clic

I'm modificating functions_entries_admin.inc.php a bit to have a bullet proof easy backend for people writing stories for a free local newspaper. We need the two fields "Entry Body" and "Extended Body" always open without click at the "plus" button. I managed to resize ...

yes, you are right, this logo is a graphic symbol, which is so much reduced, that it is not more an image. Everyone see's it's an atom. i didn't know that the atom was thought to be the unique symbol of s9y (i had the atom reader in the back of my mind and thought of an double - meaning) so let's th...

http://infragelb.de/snafu/s9y_reduced.gif apart from the color (is there already a color scheme for s9y? sort of corporate design? [that will be a nice work to do, and i would be happy to help there]) this logo version is more reduced, no arrows (they where somewhat agressive to mee too). it is so ...

Not everyone who wants to start a blog is a 20-something (mid-40's here). muharhar! mid-40 here too you are right with the colors, the should become more pastel and less hip. i played around with the center part alone and found it a bit too much like this yin and yang stuff on the organic food pack...

http://infragelb.de/snafu/s9y.gif hi, what do you think about this one? i took davids idea, reduced it a lot by removing some arrows and minimalizing the atom icon. i agreed to remove the text inside, as one wrote above, only using "serendipity" alone. i used some variations of fresh gree...

new logo

i never realized the old logo to be a coffee cup, really! - Can the logo be reduced to a favicon and be identifiable? yes. reduce ist. then sleep one night, and reduce it again. that will fit. if it is welcome, i will deliver a modification of the logo this weekend. but: do not brush s9y too hard. i...

Re: x-mas wish: mandatory alt tag in file insert window

hi garvin I think instead of doing that on insertion time, a comment for an image should be stored upon upload yes, thats better and will avoid inconsistencies(? :-) maybe there is a programmer outside there ...! (not my cup of tea, but btw: im working on an update of my s9y pdf manual for beginners...
