They don't even give a specific error, neither when called by site load, nor on click.
ColorBox: no error

die Bilder werden ja einfach als Files unter /uploads abgelegt.
Von daher wird ein simples Überschreiben via FTP keine Probleme machen.

wozu den Umweg über eine Datei, die hochgeladen werden muss ?

Einfach den WYSIWYG-Editor in den Profileinstellungen aktivieren und dann wird auch jeder Umbruch von Notepad problemlos übernommen.

CKeditor is a WYSIWYG Editor for markup text, not a Media Library Management Tool. This is something totally different in my eyes.
