<off topic> I now know how to pronounce SQL. Is it pronounced Sequel in German too? or just as three letters? The pronunciation varies from project to project. The mySQL team calls it My S-Q-L( Ess Que Ell) While the postgreSQL team calls theirs Post-re-Ess-Que-Ell Personally I do call it sequel, bu...

I manually added a test post via phppgadmin and then everything started to work again. I also did a vacuum on the entries table which didn't seem to help.

I will post again if I figure anything out; its working now for me.

Error Posting

I am trying to post something to my site and am getting - Error: Entries were not successfully inserted! I am unable to post anything nor save. The only thing that I've changed as of the last post was installing the polling plugin. I've uninstalled that plugin and its still not working. Steps to rep...

Wow, I really like it!

The only thing that I noticed thats kinda off is the add a comment box; there is too much blue for me. It makes me squint when trying to read it. This could just be me as I really do not like bright colors.

Other than that I really like the template.

Make sure that s9y is not embedded in the config.

Embedding removes all styles and allows you to embed the script on another site.

Tell your host that you need 212.227.94.132:80 and 212.227.94.132:21 opened up. I do not believe s9y uses port 21, but it cant hurt to open it up. When a network admin asks for the outbound connection it is the port (80 and 21 in this case). The IP address is the address on the server that the domai...

now that I am thinking about it, my ads were on the index page as well. So, if you want the javascirpt to only display on the extended entires page you would need to play it above where I did.

When I put text ads between my entries and comments I added it to entries.tpl. You can see my current entries.tpl in the pastebin below. I've currently got the ads commented out due to the fact they were not making any money for me. Anyway, the positioning I used should be good for you. I am using b...

Arguably the most viewed page on the internet has 30 errors, and its so simple... http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgoogle.com The w3 standards are just ideals, almost no large site uses them. I do think that people should strive for them, but it almost never happens on any large closed...

I think that replacing the -- and ++ in the karma plugin with stars would make it much more user friendly. People are much more likely to vote with a little user friendly image over a hunk of text.

Does this plugin have anything to do with the format of the permalinks? I know that I screwed up the karma plugin by changing the permalink format. I am currently moving my site over to another server (lighttpd, php, postgresql all compiled by hand at the latest version) and the optimization still i...
