Re: What sources can Serendipity import from?
I can say that even the old importers work pretty well.
I used the nucleus importer on several sites and there were minor glitches but I'd say that 99%+ of my content came over

Don
This looks go to me so far
I'll test it on my site as soon as it's uploaded
I'll assume it will pick up the recaptcha, if enabled?

Re: Contact Form Plugin
Its a little more involved than I thought it would be. I started working on a plugin_dynamicform.tpl for timeline earlier today thinking it was10 minutes of effort.... it is not 10 minutes of effort! I will try to finish it tonight or tomorrow then update the timeline theme. ok good... becau...

Re: COntact Form Plugin
Do you have an URL to a live site so we can check this out? If so, please mention which one you have it currently set to. If not, please state which theme you're using. (Hint: If it's a non-public blog with a custom theme, this will be difficult to resolve.) YL http://www.stormscellar.com/s-mtransp...

Contact Form Plugin
Evening Folks, I'm working on a site where I am using several instances of the Contact Form Plugin version: 1.19 If I use "Use the dynamic tpl? Standard" is sizes to mobile just fine but if I choose custom it doesn't scale properly Any ideas where I can set the width properly? Thank you John

Serendipity as a CMS
Just for the record... using static pages Serendipity makes for an excellent CMS
I just cranked out a framework for a site for a friend of mine that runs a trucking company
Waiting on the content from him
BUT it was an easy build using the Timeline theme from Don Chambers, modified of course

Re: Newbie Questions
I wanted something php based, easy to use (for the whole family), simple design, lots of plugins (perhaps for an online store at a later date), and safe. So far my research has led me to Serendipity. -L on the easy scale Serendipity is pretty easy.. I've been able to custom it with the available pl...

Re: first site live using serendipity
Here is the first draft...
In this one I am using serendipity as more of a CMS with a lot of static pages
http://www.naileditsalon.com/
still working on the flow and the front page gets a content overhaul next

Re: Ideas for 2.2
Please note that I'm not at all voting against implementing these features, I'm merely saying it might be better to implement them as plugins, meaning optional features to be added on if the user chooses. YL I'll concede that point... but I'd still rather put it out there then say nothing at all :)...

Re: Ideas for 2.2
That is not really a core feature, nor should it (in my opinion) necessarily be one. It should be a theme functionality (some themes may not even have a footer). please remember I'm new and just throwing ideas out there... I disagree on some level.. having certain settings as universal, despite the...

Re: Ideas for 2.2
as a new serendipity user (rapidly heading towards evangelist) I have a couple things I'd like to see a way to update the footer from the theme admin panel, like some of the older templates did (I can find an example given some time) adding social icons/links to the footer (like timeline) adding rec...
