Re: Posts in more than one category
OK, my mistake. In fact, the categories had been updated as I intended but I thought they hadn't. (The print was small and my eyes are not too good at present.) Thanks for your help.

Re: Posts in more than one category
Yes, that's what I remember doing previously, but now I can't get it to work. I ctrl-click two categories and they are highlighted, but I have to go back by clicking the plus sign and then I have only one category, as before. Something seems to have changed in the system. I tried with two browsers (...

Posts in more than one category
I'm sure I used to be able to have posts listed with more than one category but now I can't seem to get it to work. Can someone kindly remind me of how to do this please?

Re: Changing Configuration gives "forbidden" SOLVED
You were right - it was an ISP error. They said: It looks like the script was hitting one of the mod_sec security rules, we do occasionally get a few false positives. I have whitelisted this rule so if you could retest and let us know if you have any further issues And it's working correctly now.

Re: Changing Configuration gives "forbidden"
The upgrade went off smoothly and quickly with your plugin - many thanks.
Permissions were recorded as correct in the process.
The Forbidden error still appears. I'm wondering if it has to do with the PHP issue. I'll check with my ISP to see what they are using.

Yes, correct - I've got them now. Thanks.
I'll try out this stuff and report back later.

Re: Changing Configuration gives "forbidden"
Perhaps it wasn;t saying it needs 1.7 - I think I misread it. But something is wrong. When I try to update Event plugins I see: Trying to open URL package_event_en.xml... Fetched 462994 bytes from already existing file on your server. Saving file as /data01/c4909627/public_html/serendipity/templates...

Re: Changing Configuration gives "forbidden"
Not sure what you mean by backend/configuration. If you mean the configuration window which comes up when I log in as administrator, changing stuff there is just what I can't do. And I have Spartacus but it doesn't produce any Event plugins. It tells me that I need to have version 7.1 for this, so I...

Re: Changing Configuration gives "forbidden"
I don't know if upgrading to 1.7 would fix it (or break things). How shall I know then...? :-) Anyway, upgrading will always fix some things. Easiest method by now: Set autodetect host name to yes, install the dashboard plugin, then the Serendipity Autoupdate plugin, point yourself to backend start...

Re: Changing Configuration gives "forbidden"
Not sure which version this is, but probably 1.6.
Permissions seem to be OK - I certainly haven't changed them.
The source for the page doesn't show anything except "forbidden"

Re: Changing Configuration gives "forbidden"
No, that's all it says.
I don't think the first link is relevant. It was actually while trying to do what it says in the second link that I found the error.

Changing Configuration gives "forbidden"
When I log in to my blog to administer it, I can change some things, e.g. plugins, but
if I go to Configuration I cannot save any changes. Pressin Check and Save gives a screen
saying "forbidden".
Possibly a permissions problem?

Re: Block comments from a particular IP?
Yes, I'd seen that previously but I wasn't too clear about how to configure spamblock(bayes). I'll have another go at it.
