Static Pages: try to fix or wait for new version
At the moment, the styling of the static pages does not fully agree with the styling of articles. Using the Next theme here: http://efg-test.xf1.de/ the visual differences seem to be the pagetitle h2, which in an article is a link and colored accordingly (even though it only is a link to itself) and...

Re: Something funny: serendipity_event_head_nugget
kybernator, for the record – you do use the WYSIWYG editor, right? Yes And it is in fact active when you edit the head nugget plugin's content (e.g. the touch icon markup)? Yes, IIRC - I just deleted the plugin, could repeat the procedure tomorrow, not today anymore, must do something else right no...

Re: Something funny: serendipity_event_head_nugget
You can use http://realfavicongenerator.net to generate all those icons plus the code, but I assume you already did use that. :) You know me so well. :D If you want to do this easily, though (and maybe risk that some platform don't get the proper favicon, there is a pragmatic alternative . I think ...

Re: Next Theme
Well, I was pretty sure I had saved, but I repeated all steps very carefully tonight. No change. Also, I was sure that I was modifying the correct file, since that one also includes the modification concerning the text addition to the hamburger icon. I can confirm the behaviour for Chromium and Fire...

Re: Something funny: serendipity_event_head_nugget
I would assume that you have the NL2BR plugin active (for content areas) yes using the NL2P option no, not yet and that the NL2BR plugin is placed before the head nugget plugin in the event plugin list? yes If so, try moving the head nugget plugin in front of NL2BR in that list. ok, did so, head nu...

Something funny: serendipity_event_head_nugget
I just tried out serendipity_event_head_nugget to put some favicon code into my pages - and then I noticed, reloading, that the distance from top of browser window to my h1 has grown considerably. see for yourself what happened (if you do not see it, use ctrl+a): http://efg-test.xf1.de Well, the des...

Static Pages: Startpage not shown as Startpage
Hi everyone, a page, created by serendipity_event_staticpage 4.09 and marked as "define as starting page:yes" (or similar, I do use a German backend) isn't. the blog still shows the usual starting page, /index.php?frontpage instead of the one I want for that purpose, /index.php?/pages/inde...

Re: Next Theme
OK, a short feedback:
While the solution for displaying the Menue-text works just fine, the code to hide the magnifying glass icon seems to have no effect - not a big matter, though.
More later.

Re: Next Theme
Oh, I was in no way implying that I think icon fonts are a bad design choice, quite the opposite, actually. And, as I wrote, it works on Chrome/Android, generally speaking, just with one device I noticed this problem and thought that icon + text might be a good idea - for which you provided the solu...

Re: Next Theme
Thanks, great, permanent display is what I was looking for. Still, the coloured bar without the icon does not give much of an incentive to "click" it. I think for most people, that is an extablished UX pattern by now. Really? I mean, only the coloured bar, no icon visible? Thanks for the i...

Re: Next Theme
Thanks, Matthias, that was quite informative. Responsive web design indeed should be a given now, but quite often it still isn't - all the better to have options like 2k11 and Next, thank you. Also, you didn't come across as harsh, just short and to the point. The other big difference is that Next n...

Re: Next Theme
Easy fix for the time being: set quicksearch to hidden. Yepp, done that :-) any way to not display the magnifying glass via user.css? Sure. #searchform .icon-search { display: none; visibility: hidden; } Thanks a lot! BTW, any documentation or other stuff on the Next theme out there? I am not reall...
