Re: No Bullshit! - Millionaire Maker Dan Kennedy uses S9Y
That proves 2 things: S9Y simply runs, and runs, and runs, ... Remember the old UNIX rules, "Don't upgrade as long as it runs,... " It's actually a business rule as well . Those people know it's not about having the latest release and newest gadgets (at least in their business). You can ad...

Well, the Blog is only a small part of it.) http://www.dankennedy.com/cblog/ Quite interesting. Yours JohnCanary...

... Surely he doesn't think spammers are going to take 10 minutes to fill out a form, and we can use the timeout to eliminate them! That would just scare off users who took too long to say what they want. ... Could be true! The time-out might be a bigger hurdle than a Captcha. Let's say you open a ...

Re: ? Pingback Receiving, doesn't fetch content?
I know, pingbacks don't carry content. The default for $serendipity['pingbackFetchPageMaxLength'] == 200 Right, that will in almost all cases, not even get the complete <head>...</head>. I just set it to 20000, but no difference. So I am not quite sure, what this variable is supposed to do. I tested...

Re: RSS2 feed: Possible improvements
Hello Garvin! Right <description> needs plain text, just like an excerpt, but it's a mandatory field. I'll feed it like in the example above via the Smarty functions and will use a custom field for a real excerpt (optional) with that great extended properties plugin. The spec doesn't say anything ab...

? Pingback Receiving, doesn't fetch content?
Hi, A quick question to Pingback with S9Y V1.3.1. When S9Y receives a pinkback, it records it as pinkback and shows in in the Trackbacks section PingBack (->link to blog post) Weblog: blog.example.com Tracked: Jun 04, 20:31 It does not fetch and add any content from there? I thought it will, just fr...

RSS2 feed: Possible improvements
Hi developers, hi everyone! I have the following suggestions from playing around with the RSS Feeds and checking several S9Y 1.3.1. blogs against http://validator.w3.org/feed/ and www.feedvalidator.org (not working properly today). I keep it short and sweet. Most important (probably) things first. T...

Wrong <pubDate> in RSS Feed, TimeOffset != 0
The <pubDate> entities in the in RSS Feed (I only dealt with RSS2) is not correct, when TimeOffset in the Admin Panel is different from 0. Observed in S9Y V1.3.1. www.feedvalidator.org complains about a non-plausible date (it's in the future). Not an error, but a hick-up. (I tried yesterday. The ser...

Blog Post Specific Keywords / Use the Free Tag Event Plugin
Hi! The new version of the Free Tag Event Plugin has a great feature: It inserts an extra meta keyword tag into the head section of the page. <meta name="keywords" ... > The keywords are the tags. It even gives output on overview pages (I guess it takes the first post on the page as refere...

Thanks for reporting! Fixed in version 2.99 Regards, Garvin Great, I already upgraded via Spartacus this morning. You're the MAN. Thanks P.S.: I already said, that I like the technorati tag link feature, but what I found that I like even more is the head meta tag keyword insertion . Great finally a...
