Just by using the multilingual plugin and creating the translated version of the entry. I originally wanted to use the static pages plugin but it has too many options whereas an entry is basically the editor and also allows me to add the meta desc plugin to give each page it's own title/desc etc. No...

Lightbox plugin not working for me
I've just installed the lightbox/thickbox/greybox plugin and can't seem to get it to work. I've checked index.tpl and I've got {serendipity_hookPlugin hook="frontend_header"} so I think no problem with getting the javascript into the head of the page. I've tried using the default and also ...

Tutorial: Using Serendipity for a Small Business Website
Hi everyone,
I've just written up a short tutorial for anyone who develops small (4 or 5 page) websites for small business and using Serendipity as the engine to allow the site owner to update their pages without knowing HTML or CSS.
The tutorial is very basic but might be useful to some of you.

Hi Garvin, Sorry about my explanation, I feel like I'm learning Serendipity all over again. I've had some memory problems and some things I just have to relearn. I'll go and check the mod-rewrite thing, but for the first question, what happens is that I'm using the static pages sidebar plugin as my ...

Category templates plugin with static pages
Can anyone tell me how to use this plugin? Specifically what I want to do is assign a different template to certain static pages. I've allocated the templates in the categories admin screen, and in my static pages I've selected the category, but when I browse from static page to static page I don't ...

Staticpage sidebar plugin help please
I'm using the staticpage plugin as my navbar by calling serendipity_showPlugin and it gives the impression of working, however I have two problems that I need to deal with. The first is that the static pages sidebar plugin gives the full url of each static page, but what I want is for the static pag...

Hi Don, $view='start' does apply to static pages but thats where I need it, the client actually won't be using the blog at all. That's why s9y is so powerful, it can be used for static multilingual sites. I'm even using the static pages sidebar plugin for my navbar, except I've run into a problem on...

I hate it when your mind goes blank and you can't figure out how to do something, then you take a break and come back to it and suddenly you remember how to fix it. Just ignore my little moment of stupidness. For anyone else who wants to know how to do this, just add this smarty into your index.tpl ...
