I have installed the serendipity_plugin_imagesidebar plugin. It lets you display a picture in the sidebar along with some additional text. You can see it in my blog on the top right under the topic "Autor der Seite". From there I link to a static page (you will need the static pages plugin...

No problem, I'm not in a hurry... PM is on its way! Thanks a lot!

By the way, I have tried the forum-plugin. As well as with the contact-plugin captchas work perfectly there. So it seems to be related to the guestbook-plugin.

I am using the latest version of the guestbook have updated the template files just to have it aligned like my other sites. Anyway, I have already tried it with a completely unmodified template as well - same result. I guess posting dumps or screenshots here would blast the forum... :-) Would it hel...

Hi Don, thanks again! Disabling markups got the script running! Anyway, you definately have to switch off WYSIWYG in order to insert javascript.

Javascript does not work

I've been trying to add a javascript countdown to an entry of my blog . Unfortunately nothing is displayed. I found in the forum some suggestions that I might switch off WYSIWYG but that did not have any effect. Then I tried to realize it with an HTML nugge - same story. The place where I put the sc...

Thanks a lot Don! Believe it or not, but replacing padding with margin worked perfectly. Maybe there is a way to fix this automatically with an upcoming version of Serendipity?!

I have a completely different problem. I have the same configuration like inki. But in my blog the captchas are displayd even when I disable that feature in the configuration of the guestbook plugin. Anyway, the much bigger problem is that the guestbook entrys get blocked even when you type in the r...

Scaling of thumbnails in IE7

When I post a new entry to my blog I usually add a small thumbnail graphic at the top left corner. So far so good. But when I take a look at the blog with IE7, it sometimes scales the thumbnails. Example: The thumbnail should be 110x110px but IE/ displays it as 140x110px. Everything works fine on Fi...

Thanks a lot. Now it works!

But the trouble doesn't stop... I have modified the css of my template to have a fixed background for my blog. Everything works fine on IE7, Firefox and Safari. But on my iPhone the background is not fixed. Is there anything I can do about it?

Using Serendipity on iPhone

Lately I've been trying to write a post to my blog via my new Apple iPhone. Bottom line is that I just couldn't do it. When I try to create a new entry I get a pop-up which says that Mozilla < 1.3 Beta is not supported and might not work. So I guess it must be the mobile Safari browser on the iPhone...
