Re: javascript errors with event_livecomment

Thanks Garvin, that's something I wasn't aware of. Am I right if I think that there is no simple possibility to compute the url-path to the js-file dynamically, so it also works if it's not located in the default /plugins/serendipity_event_livecomment? Think a config-option to specify the path shoul...

Re: javascript errors with event_livecomment

At the moment my browser (ff3) needs 3-3.5 seconds for normal load of m and 4 for a total refresh, with javascript. Without 1.2. The slowdown is big, but 3-4 seconds are almost acceptable. But hopefully we can improve speed a bit more. Please try the attached versions of the plugins. The jQuery-Plug...

Can't talk about smarty, but I don't know any programming-language which allows such a construction. Just think about the resulting assembler-code...

Re: javascript errors with event_livecomment

Think I made some progress. There is now the "inline"-option to use inline-JavaScript for the parameters, deactivating the ajax-call. This should give the most performance. If the new option is not used it should anyway be faster, because the ajax-call is no longer executed twice and the J...

Re: javascript errors with event_livecomment

No, there is a difference. It was just not so clearly separated in 2 and 6 seconds.

Re: javascript errors with event_livecomment

Well, the dependency-system seems to need some improvements. Regarding the performance, the difference is not that big when visiting your page right now. But the issues are existent, that's not solved nicely. I'll offer an option to submit the variables inline, thus deactivate the ajax-call, this sh...

Re: javascript errors with event_livecomment

Indeed, I do not installed it - did I have overread some information to install it for the comment-plugin? The jQuery-plugin should have installed itself automatically at the installation of the livecomment-plugin. Weird. You did use spartacus? Fehler: lcnewbase is not defined Quelldatei: http://bl...

Re: similar looking guestbook and conctact form

Is there a trick to make it appear ? The table is in a div which is smaller than the table if the page is small enough (Yes, you made the width of the table elastic by specifying it to 100%, but tables alway show their content, so the minmal-width of your table is defined by the width of the images...

Re: javascript errors with event_livecomment

Is the issue solved? I'd be interested in what caused this. Did you uninstall the jquery-Plugin because it seemed unnecessary? Didn't it install itself? Knowing that, maybe we/I could improve the system. sincerely PS: @garvin: Maybe it would help if it wasn't possible to remove the jQuery-Plugin at ...

Yes, that'd be great. Tested it today with my "productive"-blog and seemed to work well. sincerely PS. Ah, testing revealed there was a debug-line still present... better use the attached version. I also removed some requirements, I don't think smart is really required in a specific versio...

Re: I've done something that has made my blog very very wiiiide

It's not larger than it should be when I visit the page. If I see this correctly, it is a table-based-layout. Tables tend to get as wide as necessary to display it's content. Maybe you added a large image or a table or a <pre> or a line that can't be breaked (aaaaa... without space) to an entry that...

Re: CSS in Sidebarplugin

Ain't it possible to output the css-code in a <style>...</style>-section? I know that normally belongs in the head, but it should work. That seems to me more hassle-free then extending the sidebar-plugins.

Autotitle

Autotitle is a plugin that automatically insert the title of a linked site as title-tag into the link. This way, the user reading the blogentry normally sees a tooltip with a more clear description what the linked site is about when he hovers the link. The plugin does this by fetching the first 4KB ...
