The only problem I had was trying to get graybox to run flash pages for some reason... :( Other than that, I think it's very neat... I'm working on a theme that uses it for comments and the like. I can't seem to get the edit window to open in graybox, that would be nice. But, thanks to all, for the ...

I couldn't get thickbox to work. Lightbox will only do images, Greybox, does images, HTML pages and the likes, I'm testing it to see if I can use it if you want to have comments popping up. Greybox does this much smoother than the others. the other advantage is the code size, Thickbox and lightbox c...

Graybox Plugin for S9y

Hiya, Found this Greybox scipt, similar to lightbox, but in my view a lot smoother, and most importantly, a lot smaller. Quotes from the site: Why use GreyBox: * It does not conflict with pop-up blockers * It's only 22 KB! * It's super easy to setup * It's super easy to use * You can easily alter th...

Just another idea for security. That would be to add a captcha request after X number of login failures. if you still fail that, and E-mail password & captcha.

Upgrading from PHP4 to PHP5

Ok, I see that S9Y works on PHP5. However, how easy or hard? is it to upgrade my S9Y from php4 to PHP5? With my server I'm able to simulate php5 by adding the following line to the .htaccess file. AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php However, when I do it, it get some nasty internal server error......

Ok, I've redone the forced installation and followed it through. All is ok is back up and running now.... Sheesh... 4 more sites to fix... (2 test sites and 2 live ones...) I'm going to have a quiet word in the host bosses ear.... Something about, kneecaps... and baseball bats... 8) glad all is ok n...

Hiya Judebert, Humm, not a clean solution but a solution. I have removed the file serendipity_config_local.inc.php, hence forcing a re-installation of S9Y. This is also a 'dirty' way to fix as It also means losing all my settings. So I thought, OK, I'll backup my old settings, and re-import them bac...

Hiya All, My hosting company had a fantastic idea to change the harddisk my site was all, oh the pure genius of the idea! Of course, when the drive gets changed so does the absolute path to the whole site. So my path has changed from /mounted-storage/home7/... to /mounted-storage/home22a/... ...

Hiya, I think I have found out what caused the double read of data. first point of to check is change change serendipity_config_local.inc.php to point to the new DB. Also I made a change in the DB it's self in the Serendipity_config and made manual changes there to point to the new site. I didn't do...

Hi Carl, You read right. Thick box can pop up html pages in the same way as images. You may also have noted that there appears to be a problem with it working in s9y .. I have it on my site, but cannot get it to work on my present live sitte. But it works fine on my test sites. I'm not really a code...

Just a quick question, What's the easiest way to 'clone' and installation ? I have fully access to create new mysql databases etc via myphpadmin. what tables would I remove or change before doing a clone. I'm getting to the point where I might strip down the site, remove stuff and build it up again....

Hiya Garvin, I don't think it's a script problem as it does work correctly if you look at this site: http://blog.andyramblings.co.uk (clean s9y 1.0 build) or http://blog.andyhopkins.com (sort of clean build of s9y 1.1 alpha 7 Hence why I mention that it may be a problem on my live site, with bits of...

Good Evening Garvin, Ok been busy with the thinkbox script. The plugin works on both my test sites works as it should, but! not on my live site?! Now that that is the situation It's going to be hard to workout why it's not working on my site, which have have to say is most likely a bit messy on the ...

oops you saw the wrong script in action there. I have made the correction to on this line: $pluginDir = preg_replace('@^.*( / plugins.*)@', '$1', dirname(__FILE__)); and removed the highlighted / but still it doesn't appear to work. I have made this change on my version of thick box. I have yet to t...
