If you can access your .htaccess file, try adding this line to the end of it:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html .htm
php_value auto_prepend_file /path/to/cms/index.php

Am I right in thinking you're referring to your syndication links? I'm using IE 5 on this computer, and I see the links as they should be.

Have you tried the Gallery embed plugin? You can specify which version of Gallery you are using. I am using the plugin with Gallery 2 and have had no problems with it.
