The misbehaving pages ARE in separate directories. See the URL I posted. S9 is in the root folder on both blogs, and the other apps are in separate directories.

That's what I did. I coudln't see a zip file or anything that looked remotely familiar to me in the CVS, so I actually just created the pages and copied the info. I created a subdirectory in "templates" for "blue-haze". Inside that I created a "style.css" file and copie...

I just found it's doing the same thing on my other blog. As far as I can tell, it's redirecting ANY file with an .html ending to the main page.

The htaccess in both files is the same.

I must be missing something, because I have no idea how to install the themes from CVS. I've hunted the site and the forum for anything on how to install a theme, and I'm just not finding it. I tried copying them into my directory, and that seemed fine, but they don't just automatically show up in m...

URL rewriting interfering with another app?

I have a text counter program on my blog that I should be able to access at: http://www.thehathorlegacy.info/L10Apps/L10HC_Reporter.html But since I changed the URL rewriting yesterday, it's redirecting that page to the main page of the blog. I don't understand the .htaccess code well enough to know...

I did, but the problems persist.

--No backend template (administration)

--Cannot switch to any template but Kubrick - if I do, it loses all CSS formatting.

EDITED TO ADD: Whoops. This was all because somehow I deleted the trailing slash after my "URL to blog" in Configuration.

I have the same problem, with a twist. When I first installed this one, everything was fine. As soon as I tried to change templates, my BACKEND template disappeared. It works fine, but it's just plain text in tables. Now I can't change the template on the front end without the same thing happening. ...

As far as I can tell, the .htaccess file seems okay. My error page redirects work just fine, and you seem to be confirming that the S9 code I showed you is properly written.

So I'll check with my host about the mod-rewrite thing. Thank you!

I just switched hosts, and switched from 8.beta6 to 8, and what worked on my old setup isn't working on the new one. I can't do a screenshot until this evening, but maybe I can provide enough relevant info here....? My "permalink" as specified within the static page plug in is: index.php?/...

In case anyone has a similar problem ever, the solution was simply to use the database repair feature in MySql in my cpanel.

Attempt to edit entry kills whole blog????

I tried to edit an entry from March, and it gave me an error message, and now when I attempt to load the blog, all that shows up is a big blank white page with: Query failed: SELECT e.id, e.title, e.timestamp, e.comments, e.exflag, e.author, e.authorid, e.trackbacks, e.isdraft, e.allow_comments, e.l...

LOL, I have no idea how 0.8-beta2 got in there.

Thanks again... It looks like it's working now. :D

Is there a way to send you guys a donation? I've paid for software that wasn't as good as Serendipity, and you sure beat the average tech support hands down. :)

Okay, thanks, I appreciate that. Now unfortunately no matter what I do, the db won't transfer over properly, which I think must be a problem with my old host, because I tried it moving it to two different servers, and in both cases it left out some stuff in the "overhead" column in phpmyad...

Changing permissions on serendipity_config_local.inc.php

I'm switching hosts, and thought I could just copy everything from one server to the other. However, the serendipity_config_local.inc.php file won't copy. The permissions are set to 700 on it, and it won't let me change it, so I can't even open it up and copy the info or anything. Is there a way to ...
