News function in sitemap no longer accepted by Google.

The news format in the sitemap plugin is no longer being accepted by Google. They have changed their requirements to the following: http://www.google.com/support/webmaster ... swer=74288

Increase wysiwyg editor input window size

Is there a way that I can increase the input window for the Wysiwyg editor? I find it's not tall enough when trying to input an entry and would like to increase it's size a bit.

Can't publish all of a sudden.

I'm trying to publish and the system says "Serendipity is now saving your entry, creating trackbacks and performing possible XML-RPC calls. This may take a while.." but in the area where it normally shows the progress it is showing my admin panel.. see screenshot below: http://img300.image...

Odd spacing in comments on sidebar

I swear I've asked this before but for some reason, I can't seem to find the post anywhere.. maybe i'm just losing my mind. Comments on my new site, http://www.linuxcritic.com have odd spacing between some of the words but only when they are listed in the sidebar, everything looks fine in the commen...

Using the discussion forum plugin - rewriting urls

Is there a way to beautify the URLs that the discussion forum plugin uses so that they are not http://www.cmscritic.com/index.php?sere ... cms-forums but rather something like http://www.cmscritic.com/forums ?

Re: Suggest an Entry - Plugin Question

You are referring to the Spam Protector plugin correct? I have it installed and currently no captchas show up when I log out and look at either my contact form or my suggest entry forms. Is there a trick I need to apply? **Update: I moved the spam protector to the top of my plugins as it wasn't work...

Suggest an Entry - Plugin Question

I'd like to offer my readers a chance to suggest an entry but am concerned that the form may be abused without some form or protection. Has anyone had experience applying some kind of captcha or is that overkill?

404 error capturing or reporting

Is there some way to either capture 404 errors or report on them so that one can correct potentially broken links?

This may not be a S9Y specific feature but I'm trying to figure out how I can capture when people land on a 404 page?

Re: Quicksearch - how to optimize and improve results

Hey Garvin, Thanks for the reply. I'd personally prefer to wait for a stable release. The site is live now and i can't afford to run software that's not stable. Why not make the changes to the core as opposed to allowing for a plugin to change it? Seems to make more sense that it would use relevance...

The new CMSCritic.com

CMS Critic.com has relaunched and migrated completely from WordPress to Serendipity. We are running a modified Kinetic theme from the wonderful Don Chambers and have completely fallen in love with S9Y and it's capabilities. Thanks for this fantastic product! The new s9y powered site can be seen here...
