Re: Recommended feature: Only unmoderated comments on dashboard

It could be a sound option. The idea of the dashboard is to have everything that warrants an action on there, and each comment deserves a response, no? But I agree that comments to be moderated deserves a reaction the most, they could be prioritized.

Re: alternative to strpos

Wouldn't really call this a replacement for strpos, more a function using it. I put this in the serendipity_config_local.inc.php, but all I get is an error: "Call to member function registerPlugin() on null"... It's likely that `$serendipity['smarty']` is still null when you run your code. serendipi...

Re: Problem with hidden values in the Plugin Setup ?

Hi! Just a note: I'm not aware that the plugin has an active maintainer, though I might be mistaken. If you do understand some PHP code it might be very much worthwhile to debug this issue in the plugin (and maybe in Serendipity) by yourself. If there are questions I might be able to support you a b...

Re: Cannot find how to specify the Footer links

I'm not familiar with that theme, but judging from the code there should be a copyright setting, and that be the one that emits that text. Correct?

If not I hope that Don can help out.

Re: Had to reinstall Serendipity - now can't log in to software

If there is no content in the blog, delete serendipity again and try the installer once more. If the same username and password is used in the login as in the installation the login will work. If that's no option, then you can upload a PHP file that resets the password, visit it and then login again...

Re: Problems with PHP8 - latest XAMPP Version

Work is currently ongoing. We split a first PR into two parts, with the first already merged (https://github.com/s9y/Serendipity/pull/751) and the second will follow. I use s9y for my own blog and intend to continue doing so, the project will not be abandoned.

Re: Admin backend: Buttons not working

Which buttons exactly? "The menu buttons in the admin area" sounds like the navigation buttons. Those are regular links - they can not break if their HTML markup is correct. You should inspect the links itself in your browsers, is the HTML correct, is the set domain the right one?

Re: Feature Request og:image

We do have a plugin for that :) And I do maintain it because like you said, it's important. The plugin is called serendipity_event_social. Primary purpose is to show data privacy respecting share buttons, but it also outputs the primary og tags needed.

Re: How to Change the layout?

Theerer is a config option on how many articles are on the frontpage, which you could set to 1. It's under Configuration -> Design and Options -> Entries on Frontpage (or similar, the blog where I checked is not in english). Is that what you are looking for?

Re: Fatal Error: Uncaught --> Smarty: Source: Missing name

Which is very strange. That is what I'd expect to be empty, given the error message. You could try to place a commentpopup.tpl from 2k11 or from default into your theme.

Re: Fatal Error: Uncaught --> Smarty: Source: Missing name

Well, that's at least a hint. In that PHP file comment.php, one of the last lines is this: $serendipity['smarty']->display(serendipity_getTemplateFile($serendipity['smarty_file'], 'serendipityPath')); That's line 230 at my test installation, which I think is unchanged. Add a debug output there: echo...

And if you visit yoururl/blog/comment.php?serendipity[entry_id]=2813&serendipity[type]=comments directly, do you get a blank page?

Re: Fatal Error: Uncaught --> Smarty: Source: Missing name

The theme should fall back to the 2k11's file, you do not need to have a specific one in the theme.

The comment.php has not that many calls to Smarty. You could try them out - and just try to comment. The log does not contain the GET parameters, does it?
