Re: URL limit in posts?
I found the problem. Apparently the text of some of the URLs contained invalid UTF-8 characters. This was causing PostgreSQL to choke. Serendipity proceeded as if the text were saved. Why isn't Serendipity checking the return status of database calls?

Re: URL limit in posts?
I can't even save a draft. It claims to have saved it but if I look from another browser the changes weren't saved at all.

URL limit in posts?
I'm trying to save a new blog post but it's not being saved. I have several (about a dozen) URLs in the post. If I cut that back to about three it gets saved. I looked all over the Serendipity settings and all of my plugins but nothing I change appears to help. Does anyone have an idea where the lim...

Requests that don't end - Apache hung
I've been having problems with my apache server. After a while it stops responding to requests. If I can get in before it is totally gone, I find many sessions in "Sending Reply" mode and all are processing some PHP page. These requests are all very old and there is no TCP/IP connection as...

The first one worked. Plugging the second one into the trackback plugin resulted in:
• Checking http://mein-test.supersized.org/comment ... ntry_id=29 for possible trackbacks...
• Trackback failed: No trackback-URI found.
• Checking http://mein-test.supersized.org/comment ... ntry_id=29 for possible trackbacks...

Trackback always seems to fail
It seems no matter what site I link to, Serendipity fails to enter a trackback to that site. I always get the error 'No trackback URI found' even though the page contains a trackback URI. What exactly is Serendipity looking for? How do I troubleshoot this? Is there any logging that can be turned on?...

I just replaced my 0.7.1 install with the latest nigtly kit in hopes of stopping a trackback spammer. I added the url he's posting to the 'Wordfilter for URLs' entry in the 'Spam Protector' plugin's configuration. I'm still getting spammed. How do I stop this without turning off trackbacks altogether?

Apache is running on port 80. Originally, php_sockets.dll wasn't loaded. I changed php.ini to include it and it made no difference. Safe mode is off. disable_functions is blank. There are no errors in the Apache error log. I enabled a PHP error log and the only message I get there is identical to th...

'Maximum Execution Time Exceeded' during initial setup
I'm trying to install Serendipity on a Windows machine at work. I'm running Apache 1.3.28 and PHP 4.3.10 on Windows 2000. I get the following error after entering configuration information on the initialization screen. Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in d:\program files\ap...

Any progress?
I don't mean to prod but I'm getting trackback spammed which is making this a big deal. Has anyone found a fix for this yet? Does this problem exist in newer versions?
