s9y in /, gallery in /gallery -> how to change rewriterul

Hi, I'm having trouble with the rewrite rules when installing s9y in the root folder. I have a gallery installation in /gallery. In the FAQ and some threads on the forum, it is advised to use a .htaccess file where the rewrite engine is turned off. Unfortunately, gallery (1.5) comes with its own .ht...

serendipity domain names

Hi all, The .com/.net/.org serendipity domain names are obviously all taken. .com is a 'fake' portal, both .net and .org have a very small site that were last updated in 2003. Have there been any attempts contacting the owners of these sites in order to give the domainname over to this project? Sorr...

I basically replaced the small with a div tag. Where a p tag was present, I replaced that with a div and removed the small. Added the small style definition from the css to the containing element. More or less ;) I changed these files: $ diff fresh/comments.tpl kubrick/comments.tpl 9c9 < <small clas...

Hi Garv, I changed the <p> tag into a <div> tag and did some stylesheet changes, and it works now. Should I commit this in CVS? Now I try to validate the CSS: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css2&warning=2&uri=http%3A//www.kovacevic.nl/blog/ This give the error Line: 2 C...

freetag: backend delete of entry does not delete related tag

Hi all, When an entry is removed it seems as if the related tags in serendipity_entrytags are not deleted. This means that the plugin showing the tags has the wrong information. Can anybody confirm this? Best, Zoran. P.S.: Should I be using the bugtracker at https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id...

free tag frontend HTML does not validate?

When I try to validate my page at the w3c validator, I get errors on all serendipity_freetag divs. I'm not into css, can somebody point out what's wrong with the nesting? This is the nesting: <div class="entrytext"><p class="postmetadata"><small><div class="serendipity_freeT...

No, not too much work. I entries are mostly english and dutch and I usually don't bother with the diacriticals, except for my name ;)

Re: Diacritical marks in RSS break?

I changed my blog into utf-8. Changed my name in the personal settings the way you described (and one or two blog entries ;)). Works perfectly.

Thanks. Again!

Re: If entry title contains '--' then RDF code breaks?

But before I do that ... ;) I've made this minimal case: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>test</title> </head> <body> <div> <!-- <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.or...

Okay, so its a Firefox bug. MSIE works fine. I'll check bugzilla and try to post a bug there.

Thanks!

If entry title contains '--' then RDF code breaks?

I posted an entry with '--' in the title. That gives this RDF code in the page source: <!-- <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#" xmlns:trackback="http://madskills.com/public/xml/rss/module/trackback/" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/&quo...

Diacritical marks in RSS break?

Hi all, I have a name with diacritical marks: Zoran Kovačević In the RSS it shows up as: <author>nospam@example.com (Zoran Kova&# 269;evi&# 263;)</author> (spaces added to prevent rendering in HTML) Any ideas if this is correct RSS format and that my clients (RSSOwl, Thunderbird) are buggy? ...
