In order to continue, I need your input ! - What is missing in The Plan? Or is it complete? - Where it says 'need more' I need more items, do you know of any? For your convenience, here are the items that are incomplete: --> deliverables (logo formats etc.) --> rules for contest (did I miss out on a...

I use my own useraccount. Try su-ing to the desiderd account and execute the command. If all else fails, try it as root.

What is the error? If you remove the -q you'll get a verbose output from wget.

Any thoughts on The Plan? Please shoot! I would think that the christmas break (if any) can be a nice time for people to do some logo hacking (or is after the break a better time?). This would mean that we should announce around the 12th of December. We could run the contest for 4 weeks. We could st...

You are the best.

And I removed your previous "RewriteRule ^gallery/(.*) gallery/$1 [L,QSA]" suggestion :)

Feedblitz sounds great for e-mail subscriptions!

Another 5 years until everybody has IE7? Lets hope alternative browsers and platforms get a bigger share before that time. :)

I don't understand if you don't have the settings (dbname/username/password) or you don't have the file? I guess a reinstall into a database with serendipity tables will keep the data or will prompt you if you want to overwrite. I would say that the safe choice is: make a backup of the db and try it...

Re: cannot login as the admin after i installed serendipity

Did you try leaving the .htaccess file in place? AFAIK it is needed for proper s9y behaviour.

I guess I'm having trouble understanding the entire RSS process. No matter what I read, I still am not catching a clue. The page of code you receive is actually the feed. It is not meant for human beings to interpret, but for software. You can compare it with HTML. HTML is used by software (usually...

Hi Cychang,

Have a look at this file:

Code: Select all

/serendipity_config_local.inc.php
Change the database settings there and the blog comes up again?

Re: s9y in /, gallery in /gallery -> how to change rewrit

Thanks for the quick reply Garv. If only I was as quick to do the fix! Unfortunately it doesn't do the trick. The strange thing is that the deeper lying pages (such as albums) do resolve. This works: - http://linda.kovacevic.nl/gallery/index.php - http://linda.kovacevic.nl/gallery/rein This does not...

Re: new post subscription

I also am looking for a simple plugin to let my readers subscribe to let them know there's a new post. Indeed; not the complete post but just the real fact that there is news. I might be missing a point here, but can't your readers use the feeds? That's more or less the standard blog subscription m...

what part does not work? did you try the cron command you are giving on the command line? did you set the plugin type to 'external' in the config?

i use:

Code: Select all

wget -q -O /dev/null http://hostname.tld/index.php?/plugin/<<insert External Launch Name defined in plugin here>>
good luck!
