Is there a stable plugin option to utilize Amazon's affiliate program within Serendipity other than using a static page with links?

I can't get the Event Plugin for Amazon to even show the button on the editor toolbar so that one doesn't work either.

I forgot to ask if there is a place that has any instructions for the various plugins. Maybe my search for such information was inadequate, but I couldn't find it.

I installed the Amazon Sidebar Plugin version 1.11 through Spartacus. I only see text as a link to the ASIN's. I confirmed that I have the correct ASIN's. I am only using two at the moment for testing.
