As far as I know I'm not using the sitemap feature. Read a recent article somewhere that had a great list of suggestions of what to nofollow on blogs to help with indexing and PR but I haven't implemented any of them yet.

It's good to hear everything's working right.

Don't know why I didn't simply post the link in the first place. http://www.blogaboutcrafts.com The current install is fairly new as I had to fire my old webhost after they broke the site - gotta love such folks. I was thinking it might be a rewrite issue but how all that works is still a mys...

Since you brought up page rank, it matched for my search. My blog is over two years old. I do have individual pages indexed but no page other than the homepage has been awarded page rank. I'm not a PR chaser by any means but when no entries, including two that made it to the first page of Digg and a...

I didn't realize that this conversation had gone any further. Taking a snapshot in many ways seems better anyway. How many great blog posts are simply buried and gain no backlinks or traffic with time? Would it work as a plugin where once installed it explains which files need to be updated to make ...

This is exactly what I was looking for - a way to not have Google index search results pages. On my blog, which is about crafts and marketing them, I see no reason for Google to index search pages for the words "wisely", "remiss", "teensy", "sacrificed" and ot...

Oh hurray!!!

The counter change worked perfectly.

The description one didn't work as you had it. When I changed the variable to $entry.properties.meta_description (no ep_ before the field name) it worked perfectly.

Thank you so much for you help!!!

On a related note, it would appear that the number of entries listed is governed by the same settings as what controls the number of listings displayed on the homepage and categories. Is there anyway to change things so that on a static page with a related category it could list all of the related e...

Oh shoot. Without fully opening the list it doesn't work. If I open the list fully it does. I could have sworn I tried that and it didn't work. It appears to now. :? Thank you for the clarification on how to add categories. I know it would involve a bit of programming and sadly I can't help d...

Multiple Categories Plugin Not Working Right?

The Category Assignment Plugin appears to work fine when creating a new entry or editing an existing one if the multiple categories are consecutive in my category list; i.e. categories D, E and F. Selection appears to work by using CTRL and clicking on the categories I want to assign to the entry. I...

Meta Tags, Variables & Static Pages

I have been creating a few static pages that include a link list of related pages. By default it includes the date of each entry and the title. What I would like to do is include with each entry the meta description to make the list more interesting, informative, and provide more content for SEO pur...

I'm still not sure what the problem is but I can share how I got around it... I copied the entire Freshy directory into a new directory with a slightly different name. I then went back to the theme manager and selected the "new" theme. (Keep in mind, the new one has the same name as the or...

Why can't I edit the Freshy template?

I really like the Freshy template but would like to change a few of the colors and buttons but every time I try to edit or write to those directories it gives me a permission denied. It also won't let me change the permissions.

What am I missing here?

I hadn't realized that is was going to update the link each time the page is loaded. That would put a strain on things.

Oh, well. I still like the idea but I do see your point about page load times.

Do we have anything similar to CommentLuv?

I've been noticing on more and more WP blogs that they have this feature. When someone posts a comment, it adds an extra link to their latest blog entry.

Has anyone here already done something similar or is anyone working on it?

Any ideas why this would be grabbing the correct information from Digg, but not have a live link?

For example, this page: http://www.blogaboutcrafts.com/index.ph ... ities.html

None of the pages have a live link even if the page has already been dugg.
