This should be a possibility though, I'm sure in the past I've installed Coppermine photo gallery, and Invison BB system to use the same user table, at least the username/password section. Might be there is to much difference in the serendipity system and the available BB systems though.

Trying to make use of the LiveJournal plugin, I have installed and configured, and when I post it reports success, but nothing appears on my LJ? Any log files i can look at or anything?

That sounds more like the plugin looks on these sites for other blog entries replated to what you've typed, rather than allow people to reference your entry on those sites. Or am I misreading the description?

Cheers for looking it over, having second thoughts about coppermine now, as it has no inbuilt RSS support. Might look into plogger which does, not sure if there's a serendipity plug in for that though.

Just gotten serendipity installed, and added the plugins I was interested in, and hooked it up to my coppermine photo gallery. All pretty 'stock' at present, but thought I'd see what people thought of it so far. Hopefully I'll be customizing it a fair bit in the future.
