Re: xmlrpc plugin categories fix for mobile blogging

Changing 'description' to 'categoryName' does the trick for both BlogWriter and BlogPress - however it does break DeepestSender. No telling what other desktop authoring apps this change would break, but it fixes the mobile apps, and that's all I personally care about. It would appear that you can j...

Can you try to delete the files in templates_c? Also, you can try to download the updated version of m because like Xenophage pointed out there is a bug in the bundled Smarty release that can happen in specific PHP environments. This fixed the template errors... Xenophage, your error sounds as if y...

I tried upgrading the bundled smarty template to 2.6.22... Now I'm getting the web pages, but plugins are not working. Example errors below: Error serendipity error: could not include serendipity_plugin_randomquotes:<md5hash> - exiting. Error serendipity error: could not include serendipity_plugin_f...

I'm upping from 1.4 Beta1 to 1.4.... Same exact problem. I have suhosin, mod_security 2, and xcache. I disabled all three and was unable to resolve the problem.

I'm running a shared installation, but this is the first problem I've had.

So... Anyone? Help?

Re: XMLRPC and LiveWriter

According to m you're correct anyway. Bye, Freudi Aww.. beat me to the punch.. I just verified that this works... I added the following line to serendipity_event_xmlrpc.php : <api name="MovableType" preferred="true" apiLink="' . $serendipity['baseURL'] . 'serendipity_xmlrpc...

XMLRPC and LiveWriter

Hi all, I had a chance to speak with Joe Chang from Microsoft about Live Writer and auto-detection of the blog settings. He informed me that Serendipity is currently advertising itself as a Metaweblog API blog. The result is that certain features are disabled, such as keywords and comments. However,...

Hrm... Well, a quick google for this and I came across this :

The short version is, do you have any software running on the server that automatically blocks "bad" clients? It may be that something changed, causing you to look like a bad client, thus you were blocked.

That integrates very nicely with your site. Can you comment on the difference between AdSense and Managed Ads? Specifically, any reason I'd want to stick with AdSense instead of switching to Managed Ads? Managed Ads is just a new way of handling AdSense, it's not different, per se. Basically, Googl...

Re: Google Adsense Plugin Enhanced

Hi! There's a reason why the adsense plugin doesn't allow color choosing: Google forbids it! Their licensing does not allow for tools that create adsense codes. So we can't include your patch, as good as it is. I know...this sucks. But google does not respond to our questions on how to circument th...

Is there a plugin tutorial?

Greetings,

I'm looking for either a very basic plugin to look at, or a tutorial on how to get started. I'm an experienced coder, just not familiar with plugin coding.

Or is the API documentation the place to start for this?

Thanks!

Ok it's fixed! It was on Godaddy's side! They attempted to blame S9Y but I knew better! It was something on their end with the "upgrade" to their hosting servers. Might I suggest that you pursue this a little and get an exact reason? That way you have some firepower in the future should i...

Not much details... Have you tried to delete (or rename) your .htaccess, which should be located in your s9y root? Not too much details? What else do you need? ? Yes I deleted the .htaccess file (not sure what that would do) but my website is still not accessible. How about an error? Do you get any...

Anybody tried this? I really like (tried it with other blog software), but I would like to use with Serendipity... m Sure, it works fine. Install it and set your blog up as "Custom (Moveable Type API). Make sure you have the xmlrpc plugin installed in Serendipity. When it asks for the URL to p...
