it is writeable...actually i found the problem though. it was because the site was residing in a different domain space then where it was originally installed. after i moved back to the old domain it took the upgrade without a hitch.

I just upgraded from 1.0.1 to 1.0.3 and it seems to be stuck in a loop when i try and upgrade.

im looking for a way to limit the string length of entry bodies in serendipity, i would also like to restrict images to the extended body only. I was trying to dig thru the code to add this functionality, but im not finding it. anyone know how to accomplish this?
