Re: Being spammed?

I just got a final warning my host is going to shut me down. I don't even know where to begin to solve this problem. I know my blogs aren't that busy. Can someone point me where to even begin? Thanks. "Your account is still consuming excessive resources on our database servers. To maintain your...

Re: Being spammed?

It's funny I received this message for 2 of the blogs I run on the same day. Something fishy going on I guess. Were my blogs were being attacked in some way? In my hosts e-mail they say that table "serendipity_visitors" contains the maximum number of rows. What decides the maximum number o...

Re: Being spammed?

Ok I've upgraded to 1.6. I also went into the database and emptied/truncated the serendipity_visitors table. Should this table prune itself occasionally? Sorry for my ignorance. Oh and I forgot to mention that I got this e-mail from my host indicating the same thing is happening on 2 instances of Se...

Being spammed?

st received this e-mail form my host. Can someone tell me what might be going on and how to stop it? Is it a plug in? Thanks! "I have found that the database "ourblog" is affecting our MySQL server performance. The table "serendipity_visitors" contains the maximum number of ...

BBCode and image size in comments

I want to allow visitors on my site to include an image in their comment. I installed the BBCode plugin and that works fine. Where I run in to a problem is if the visitor includes a large image it distorts the layout of my site. I worked around this by setting the width attribute of the image in the...

Ok here's what I've figured out as weird as it seems (I'm sure there's a logical explanation though)... I thought it might be a conflict with another plugin. I moved all the plugins that were in the same column as Remote RSS to the "Hidden" column. The Remote RSS plugin then worked without...

Well I've gone from bad to worse. I deleted the cache. Now no matter what feed I enter in the URI field of the plugin, my bog won't display. If I leave the URI field blank, my blog will display and the plugin displays that no feed has been selected. I've tried entering a couple of different feeds, e...

It also appears that the feed being shown on my site isn't being updated. The actual feed has changed but what is displaying on my site has not changed since I installed the plugin.

Remote RSS/OPML-Blogroll Feed

I've installed this plugin but am encountering a couple of problems. I'm trying to insert a Google news feed into my blog that looks like this http://news.google.com/news?q=haysville+kansas&output=rss I've determined that the + sign in the string messes up my blog i.e. if this plugin is in the l...

Thanks.

Right now I'm using 4.4.7. I just seen where my host will let me switch to php5. I suppose I should? I'm running 1.3.1 of s9y. Not using ImageMagick. Guess I don't know about gdlib. Once I go in and fill in these fields correctly then all is ok. It's only like this after I first add the images. Befo...

Media Gallery Prob Since 1.3.1 upgrade

Since upgrading the media properties are messed up when adding new images. I've checked two instances of S9Y I'm running and the problem exists on both. The date is wrong and it inserts the "00:00:00.00" in the other fields. Maybe I made changes somewhere and now things don't match up? Tha...

OK I found my problem. I had deleted the "session.save_path" folder. Let me give a little background... My host had suspended my account because it was somehow being used a phishing site or whatever. So I guess I had something installed that was vulnerable or not secure. I started deleting...
