I can not find "Trackback Control" is the list of event plugins (neither the default nor the installable list). Is something missing here?

Cookies are enabled on Safari, and I have also tried Firefox (both under OSX) and IE under WinXP, with the same outcome.

Plugins: blog admin, calender, archives, categories. And default event plugins.

Problem with saving a New Entry

I am new to the package, but managed to install it without errors.

However, saving a new entry comes back with the message "Serendipity is now saving your entry, creating trackbacks and performing possible XML-RPC calls. This may take a while..". Then it simply just stays there, and no entry is ...
