Weather plugin throws an error when `clouds are missing'

Greetings, After not having had a blog for a while, I decided to come back to S9y. Still love it! :) I installed the latest version of the Weather plugin (on my freshly installed LAMP-stack), and find it quite a fun tool. The one concern I have, is that it seems some weather-reports lack the `clouds...

The reason why the quicktime and not the wm player was used is simple: WMP is only available on Windows systems, Quicktime is found on Mac and Linux, too. Oh well, I don't want any Apple-ish things on my website. I just don't like them. (Pretty strange that I'm (i)Podcasting then huh? :) ) Anyway, ...

Re: Podcast plugin adaptations

Hi! I believe you can either edit the podcast.php file to change the variables holding the player code. Or you could use a custom podcast player using the extended entryproperty podcast approach, if you only have one file per posting. The cooler way would be to change the podcast plugin so that one...

Podcast plugin adaptations

Hi! I'm just curious about this... Can I adapt the "Easy Podcasting" plugin in such a way that it uses the usual Windows Media Player instead of QuickTime for MP3s? And if I do this, won't it affect things like the RSS-feed or so? What's the actual reason for using the (in my opinion rubbi...

Restoring comments

Hi!

I'm just curious, is there any simple way to restore your Serendipity-comments from an older database back-up? I've been very clever and deleted all my comments. Now I've already got some new comments (that I want to keep), but I'd like to have my old ones back too.

Thanks.

I use this method for my different categories, but I'm not sure how to tell S9Y to place a sidebar only on one sidebar.

Well, the thing is that the User Profiles plugin didn't work when I used Standard Editor. But indeed, I was already afraid of that Administrator-level.

Hi! I know this topic is pretty old, but I thought it's the best place to ask this question. If I use the "User-Selfregistration" plugin and set the userlevel to "Administrator", is that safe? My users should only be able to edit their own profile. But how about the old userlevel...

Re: Static pages and sidebars

Yes, they're included, but those are not the ones that I need, since they're the sidebars for the main site instead of those for the subpage. I'll look at the .tpl-file though.

Static pages and sidebars

Hi! I was wondering whether there's a way to include a sidebar in a static page. Or more in common: can one use that kind of Smarty-tags in those pages? If that isn't possible, is there a way to assign a template to a static page? I mean like the way you assign a template to a specific category. To ...

What do you mean? Then your url points to:

http://www.mydomain.com/wrapper.php?/ar ... 07/06.html.

right?

Garvin
Right, and that doesn't work quite well for an unknown reason. Tomorrow or so I'll experiment with the BaseURL and the templates and see what I can do.

Re: Embedding Serendipity, how?

Well, now I noticed something else that I can't understand: I have my rewrite engine turned off, so I've links like http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?/archives/2007/06.html. But when I change my indexFile to the wrapper.php file, that link just returns me to the main page. Here's my wrapper code, I ...

Re: Embedding Serendipity, how?

Something else that is very weird, it'd be great if I could change the value of Smarty's BaseURL variable. That would solve nearly everything, won't it?

Re: Embedding Serendipity, how?

Well, maybe we'll just put S9Y in a frame, that will always work even though it's not really beautiful webprogramming.

Re: Embedding Serendipity, how?

Hmmm... It's quite hard to understand, but I'll play around with it and see what I can do. After all, thanks for the quick help so far.
