Solved

As my servers hard drive crashed[1] and Trustix is no more supported by Comodo [2] I installed fresh copy of Fedora Core 5 [3] I managed to solve problem with the captchas - must be with previous version of GD2 as I simply mounted same directories and same drives and restored databases and Serendipi...

Might be, I am currently checking it out... however, 7 other sites (some with gd/imagemagick) in same server work just fine :)

So I think it must be path/ownership -problem..

From 1.12 -> 1.2.

I upgraded as normally, just downloaded tar.gz pack, untarred it and copied to my server root, after that, changed ownership to apache.

I will try to fetch some info, but like I said, no logs get updated currently.

Captcha not showing after upgrade

Hello, Apache 2.0.59, php 5.2.3, MySQL 4.1.22, Serendipity 1.2, GD and Imagemagick working (tested with gallery). After upgrade all my captchas went away... I think some path went broke or similar, as it was working previously (I upgraded during saturday). Problem is that now if page should show cap...

Heh, I think that is very, very bad example of ajax / javascript / comment usage :) But it is my opinion. I already tested ... damn... http://jquery.com/demos/ Someone hacked jquery already :) Just as I was pointing vulnerabilities of multiple layers of ajax-libraries :) This is really awesome :) I ...

Perhaps you can make 5 instances of popfetch (copying to under different name, popfetch1, popfetch2 etc.). Install them and thus you can have 5 different directories / users?

Or isn't that speedball approach possible (easiest atleast :) )?

Hi! The error just means that your blog cannot connect to the rpc.technorati.com server, because either the server is down or technorati is just slow. It's sadly nothing you can do on your end, you can only disable sending pings to technorati or wait until their server is up again :) HTH, Garvin Yo...

Re: Shell access

If you have shell access to your isp account, you can run php in client mode, or as CLI version. You can setup your own php.ini too. I DO have shell access. If I run in client mode (which I'm not exactly sure how to do but I can look into it) how will it fix my problem? Please explain. Thanks. You ...

Either with plugin Karma voting (you can disable polling, it still tracks visits/links per article) or you can use HTML snippet in sidebar to use your own tracker.

I was myself asking this about month ago, I think this is very much FAQ material :)

Heh, converted all of those pictures away. I did regexp based conversion few times and my problem is that I have used 3 different imageutilities with Nucleus/Blog:CMS and those each uses different plugins with different settings (%Image, %image, %IMAGE) etc. And after I did thumbnail conversion / re...

Re: Importing pictures from nucleus

Hi! I think the best way would be to create a SQL Dump of your nucleus-Database, then use an editor to apply your regex on the SQL dump, and then import the SQL-Dump; after that, you can use the nucleus importer from serendipity. This way you won't have performance issues that regexps need to be pe...

Excellent support in s9y

Heh, while installing two separate installations of s9y.org I have read most of the forum messages. Excellent support I have to say. So I felt generous :)

Hopefully I can share something more after I finish one corporate site.

Importing pictures from nucleus

Hello, nucleus/Blog:CMS import works like a charm. Only problem is images in articles. Currently images are like: <div class="leftbox"><%image(public/20040906-hovimaki.jpg|127|200|Hovimäki)%> </div> So there is path ({site.com/media/}public/ and imagename (20040906-hovimaki.jpg), size (wid...

In beta-version Google API was about 120 kilobytes :)
Same thing with Yahoo API.

Don't know if it's smaller / dynamically loading nowadays. For Yahoo eyecandies I suggest either moo.fx or better yet Mochikit btw.
