Pls inform us about the possible reason for this.

Display of image for the first time is failing

Hi,

When i open serendipity in IE for the first time, and click on New Entries link, the clock image is not getting displayed.
but next time or after refresh, it is getting loaded.
On Firefox, it is not a problem.

can you suggest , why it is happening in IE for first time?

Thanks,
Manoj

session expiration issue

Hi,

when we keep the application idle for a long time(say about 45 min), login screen is displayed automatically.

Is this because of any conditions in code, which checks for session expiration or is this happening because of default session handling from apache/PHP?

Thanks,
Manoj

Hi Garvin,

I agree that the buttons are meant to be dragged

But my concern is that if this problem is faced by me only or it is the bug with the editor?

Please let me know your view.

Thanks,
Manoj

Undo and redo buttons in wysiwyg editor

Hi,

The undo and redo buttons in wysiwyg editor are not working.
Is this a bug in editor itself?
Is this a noted bug so that it may be fixed in next release or shud it be fixed by ourselves.
Pls, give some insight.

Thanks.

Entry Date Validation

Hi,

The default value of Date filed in entry form is that of system date.
We can also set the Date value manually by entering in textbox. In that case we are able to enter any number and there is no validation for the entered date.

Like for the year value i entered 3663287464646428934-12-06 but ...

Hi,

I have two more doubts regarding this session handling. Please provide a clarification.

1. What is the scope of $serendipity variable? Where is it defined? $serendipity is defined as 'global' in many functions.

2. How is session handled when application is placed in two different servers for ...

Hi,

If any of the session handlers, for example, DB handler is used, then what is the amount of code changes that can happen. Can u provide us an approximate percentage of changes if DB Handler is used.

Thanks and Regards,

Alternative to sessions

Hi,

Is there any alternative to using sessions in serendipity. As per our project's requirements, session cannot be maintained because the project is on multiple servers for load balancing. Instead of using session_start() and $_SESSION is there any other alternative.

Thanks and Regards,
Manoj

Hi Garvin,
The CSS is fetched via index.php, where a switch/case is performed on the CSS location URL. Then the blog's stylesheet file is loaded and returned.
In which file, this switch case being performed? Please give approximate line number so that we can check for that CSS.

Thanks,
Manoj

rewrite url issue- fatal error

Hi,
we are integrating Serendipity with some other application.
So there is a need that we have to call serendipity_admin.php directly. So we are redirecting index.php to serendipity_admin.php.
But when we redirect it , it is not showing GUI (stylesheet). But all the links and login page is ...
