User registration
Hi, I've been looking around the forum and it appears it was very long ago that this item was discussed; posts from 2004 and 2005. In the plugins I only found User-Self-Registration, but it does not seem to work. I already created a new group; Readers, with only right to read and comment (the only o...

Re: Image behind text
Thanks! That's a lot of clear instructions. I'll go and experiment a bit and see how I can get things to look as I want.

Re: Image behind text
Hi, Thanks for your reply. The frontend I'm presently using on one site is xcur (2013-10-26). On another site I'm using 2k11. The reason why I chose Serendipity, is the ease of use and the small learning curve. I tried WordPress, but there's just too much options there. The one thing that I'm missin...

Image behind text
Hi,
Maybe the matter has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it. What I would like to do is; use a background image or color for the whole surface behind the text. A kind of wallpaper so to speak. Is that possible? And how can I accomplish that?
greetings,
Dirk Engelage

Group membership
Hi, Using Serendipity for a little over a week, I started looking into group membership for my two users (admin, full rights) and me (limited rights). But to my surprise in my user settings under group membership, I see that I am member of all present groups and there is no possibility to change tha...

Transport install to another folder on server
Hi,
Recently I started using Serendipity for my website, in a subfolder (home/domain/serendipity). Just for testing at first, but soon I began to like it very much. Now I wish to move it to the home/domain folder. Is that at all possible? And if so, how do I go about it.

Re: xcur theme question
I found out that the combination is general in Serendipity. Question to the developers; is it much work to separate these options?

xcur theme question
Hi, Recently I started using Serendipity for my site and after some experimentation chose the xcur theme to fit me best. In that theme (maybe overall in Serendipity, but I don't know that [yet]) there is an option to hide articles from overview/frontpage. Is there a way to separate that? I only want...
