PHP Form-Mailer REDIRECT

First let me say that I went first to the s9y.org site to look for technical documentation. Because I still use Mac OS 9 and either Netscape 7.02 or IE 5.0 here at home, the brand-new s9y.org site does not completely load for me. (I get a header image and sometimes the Google ads, but no more ...

Aha!

I changed the line

DirectoryIndex /serendipity/index.php

to

DirectoryIndex index.php

and that seems to have done the trick. I assume I was correct to delete the lead-in slash. If it should be there, let me know; otherwise, thanks for your prompt and effective reply!

Yesterday I was successful in moving all my ...

Garvin: Thank you for this explanation. My problem was that I had been looking for the plugin among the sidebar plugins rather than the event plugins.

Now my problem is that my hosting provider is having problems and I cannot access my blog at all. Grrrrr ... I hope this won't be a frequent ...

Thanks for the information. I was afraid my solution was too easy to be right and your explanation makes sense now that I consider it.

I'm sorry to have bothered you with the question if it is explained in the FAQ. What I found there I understood to mean how to move the blog to a completely ...

Thank you! Easy as pie! Now all I have to do is wait for all the visitors to appear on the map! But it's still disappointing that Spartacus would give me an outdated resource.

Thanks again.

Creating new URL to blog without moving Serendipity files

My blog currently resides at the URL
www.myDomainName.com/serendipity/index.php

My hosting provider did the install for me and didn't ask what URL I wanted to use. I would like to leave all the Serendipity files and directories, etc., where they are but allow my readers to get to the blog by ...

HitMaps - new HTML

I was able to use Spartacus to successfully put HitMaps on my blog. But the image it gives says "Site owners: See updated HitMaps site for new HTML."

The link from this image seems to be
http://kmi.open.ac.uk/projects/hitmaps
but clicking on the image goes to
http://kmi.open.ac.uk/projects ...

Static page basics

Is there a resource anyone can refer me to with a discussion of how to set up a static page? I would like to have a page in my blog's skin that is not based on an entry. I assume this is what is meant by "static page."

Thanks in advance.
