How do I stop SPAM comments being left on my blog?

I thought I had it set to 'comments to be moderated' but I cant have.

Thank you for your help, I will take a look.

When I type a article om my blog everything looks fine but once its published I get big gaps between paragraphs.

Can someone tell me how to fix it please, thanks.
