Re: Templates in Installation Update 1.5.5 to 1.7.3
Got it. I deleted the compiled templates in templates_s for Carl Contest, then simply ran the blog again and it was recompiled. Voila. Thanks.

Templates in Installation Update 1.5.5 to 1.7.3
I created a new folder for the installation and copied my config file. I also changed the database manually to reference the new folder, as well as the htaccess file. The system had me click on the upgrade, which I did. All went well except for a slash missing which I found and the templates not rec...

Re: Event_entrypaging nothing happens when configured
P.S. The {serendipity_hookPlugin hook="entries_header" addData="$entry_id"} is in the entries.tpl as you said. Thanks.

Re: Event_entrypaging nothing happens when configured
I am using carl-contest. The owner of the blog thinks 'next' 'previous' is not conducive to reading, so would like to substitute the title of the blog.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Event_entrypaging nothing happens when configured
Hello, I downloaded and installed the Event_entrypaging plugin and it gave me the message that it was configured. However, it is not showing on the template in the botton left as uninstalled. New Entries Plugin - cannot determine current category
The new entries plugin should only show the entries for the category of the post being shown. Is there another plugin which does this? I noticed in the configuration you can chose the category, but I am interesting in the plugin deriving the category from that being shown. Thanks.

Re: site statistics only show root
Thanks. I did change the url rewriting, so now I see everything with Webalizer and AWSTATS, which is great. Interesting information. The source of the rise in traffic is still not obvious. Now I would like to install the Google analytics. I downloaded the code and ftp'd to the plugins folder of the ...

I see the choices are 'Use Apache Error handling' and 'Use mod-rewrite'.

Yes, server supports. Where is this documented so I can get the exact commands. Also need documentation as to where in the /blog subdirectory the google analytics code is placed. Thanks.

Re: facebook commenting
Most newspapers use FB commenting. Here is an example. At the end of an article, you can add comments and they are shown in the article and on your FB page:
http://www.mydesert.com/comments/articl ... w-downtown
It is part of the FB developer api.

My logs only say domainname.com/blog/index.php. There is no url like the one you wrote showing a specific entry.

All is not fine because the individual blog entry does not show in the log.

site statistics only show root
The site stats only show the root of the blog. The individual entries are not captured in the site log. How does one know which entry was read and /or which category was clicked?
