All is well.

After onli posted what he saw, I used another browser (wasn't logged in in the previous one, though).
What I see now is the same as he sees, so it must be some unpleasantness with browser caching, more likely than not.

Sorry for raising the alarm

Sorry, onli, I do not quite understand -- "changing image" as marker?

I only see "No entries to print", which I take as an attempt to show entries in the blog (there are none) instead of the desired static page.

If by "changing image" you mean the one on top of the sidebar, that is a plugin that ...

After upgrading to 2.3.5, a static page I had used as frontpage is not shown (as frontpage) anymore, but the (empty) list of articles instead.

I updated all plugins, and toggled the "Make this page the frontpage of Serendipity" marker on the static page off and on, but no success.

I wanted them to have a nice website to start with, so I copied all our files, copied our database, adjusted some paths et voila, we have (more or less) a clone of our website.

That should do the trick (assuming you adjusted all / the right paths, and changed the database settings).

Thank you ...

Mein aktuelles Problem habe ich hier beschrieben:

https://board.s9y.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24658&sid=aa87501a4a16ccfa9cde4430bd3848b1

[...] "Why the hell did you not install S9Y totally new instead of clone-it?" I'm sure you would not face this problems. Your existing Installation is the perfect example to build up a new installation. Install S9Y, add the needed plugins (configure same as in you installation) and you're nearly ...

Hello folks,

after quite a long time I am back to the forums, with a question. There was no need to enquire in the meantime, s9y just works, and I enjoy using it.
Now, our church congregation is sponsoring a new-to-be-founded daughter congregation, and I wanted them to have a nice website to start ...

Hi,

on a new S9Y-site the static page which I prepared as a 404-error (and marked accordingly, in German "Diese Seite als 404-Fehler-Seite definieren") is not used for that:

www.rfk-gladbeck.de

Any ideas?

Bernd

Vielen Dank!
