Re: Updating currently used theme to new version of same the

Thanks for the answers, i hoped there would be an easier way by simply using the S9Y administration.

Updating currently used theme to new version of same theme

Hi there! My up-to-date problem is described in the subject of this thread: i want to update the currently used theme of my S9Y-installation to the new version of this theme. How do you do that? If i'm correct i've to switch my used theme (RESY) to another one (f.i. bulletproof), then delete the app...

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

Well, as a friend of statistics and bars i left those bars intact, but instead of images the template now uses empty div-containers. Thanks for the input on coloring, onli. I've modified the textcolor in the sidebar accordingly. What i haven't changed are the overall colors for the default colorset....

Re: Template List-Order

I would endorse a sort or even filter option for the templates-list!

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

Oh... thank you for the tip and the nice offer about the bar images. To be honest, it's the first time i visit this page ;)
Probably i'll come back to your offer, although i would prefer a solution without images at all. Do you know about such a solution?

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

Hello onli! The live-(sort-of)-demo of RESY is now online at http://www.codeless.at/blog. A note in the showcase masterthread has been left...

Software-Blog with S9Y-RESY-Theme

Hi there! Today i want to introduce the RESY theme for S9Y, which is sort of minimalistic. It is a responsive theme, derived from the Responsive Template by Verekia (please see http://www.initializr.com/try ). After about two weeks of development it was added to Spartacus by yellowled and i've alrea...

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

Thank you for the explanations, onli! My internet connection is not an issue; i was rather afraid of downloading tons of megabytes. I was surprised to see the whole additional_themes repo is only about 15 MegaBytes in size (should be noted anywhere on github). The pull request is already sent and ye...

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

Today i modified the template to fit the tips of yellowled and Don Chambers: first, the default colorset is not in the s9y.org colors; second, some support for the left sidebar was added. The admin can choose where to display the sidebar (either left or right), plus both sidebars are outputted on th...

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

After creating some colorsets a new version of RESY will get released in the next few days. Then i'll put my site in the showcase-section and probably someone can push the template on the official S9Y/templates repository. @DonChambers: why do you think it would make sense to emit the left sidebar b...

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

Hello! Thank you, YL, for your hints about HTML5 shiv and the responsive images. Don Chambers, you spotted a quirk it seems. Well, the state-of-art is, that i don't want to support the left column right of now. My solution would be to clean up the index.tpl and remove the output of the appropriate s...

Re: Presenting a responsive template: RESY

Hello YL!

Thanks for the bunch of tips; i've already updated the github-repo to some extent. I'm not done with the responsive image solution or the HTML5 shiv problem -- would be glad if you could give me some quick hints (i already read your post about repsonive images).

Re: S9Y Web- and Boardserver

Thanks for the answers; I feel delighted that i'm not hallucinating about the webserver's lags. I'm sorry to be unable to offer any nginx-hints, mostly because it's the first time I heard about it. Seems to be pretty spread; Wikipedia writes that about 22.4 % of the Top 10.000 websites are using ngi...
