Where do I break up the side bar
I have hacked the functions.inc.php file to an extent to get a decent layout. I have messed with the sidebar.items.php file and have move things around. The page isn't updated with the moves even though I'll throw random text in at various places and it appears. I would like to change the side bar. ...

Look in the layout.php
Change the 15 in lines 49 and 78.
There seems also to be a page count reference in function.inc.php file.
I can't tell you line number as I have seriously hacked it to get a decent layout. I didn't mess with this count only the one in the layout.php to get it changed.
