Side Bar error: will not load?

Post by Capt Mike »

HI,

I just move my site to a new server, copied everything over, it was working great then, suddenly I get this error. The entire side bar will not load.

Connection timed out
Notice: Connection timed out in /home/thatchmo/public_html/bundled-libs/PEAR.php on line 848
Connection timed out
http://www.stmarymagdalenechurch.org/

It now takes forever to load, I do not know what is wrong, it is now doing this on one of the other s9y blogs I have on the same server. However, not on other s9y blogs, on that same server.

Hi!

It seems you are using a plugin in your sidebar that requires a connection to a specific server, and that connection is timing out either because your new server firewalls outgoing connections or because the remote server is not available.

Plugins that do this to you are for example the "Remote RSS-Feed" plugin(s).

Regards,
Garvin

HA HA!!!! :D

That did! My life is saved! They had me walking the plank for that one!

Yes, I had a RSS feed in the side bar, I deleted it and "Boom" it works.

Thanks Gavin!!
