Post by mdlong »

I installed PopFetcher and everything works correctly except when I send emails contaning pictures from my Sprint phone. I receive the error message below.

-----------------------------------
Number of messages extracted from your mailbox: 1
All messages deleted from your mailbox
Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2006 08:20:45 -0700
From: <phone#here>
Subject: A Picture Share!

ERROR: Could not find the SprintPCS Picture/Video Share URL.
----------------------------

I am sending the messages from my phone to a Gmail account.

Hi!

Could you post a complete message with all the headers here so that I could try to investigate it?

Sadly I'm from Germany, so I have no SprintPCS access - but I could try to check it out with such a mail.

Best regards,
Garvin

Post by mdlong »

I assume that you are wanting the markup of the email sent by the cell phone. I have pasted it below. I have replace my phone number with 123456789.

Thanks for your help.

Re: PopFetcher and SprintPCS problem

Post by garvinhicking »

Hi!

Oh, okay. The URL has changed; formerly it was:

http://pictures.sprintpcs.com/shareImage

but now it's

http://pictures.sprintpcs.com/...?...

instead, so a completely different format. Also the picture is not really attached to the email but needs to be fetched seperately...so this is a bit more complicated than I anticipated.

Sadly the sprintpcs.php code is a bit complicated to modify; maybe you'd like to contact the original author of the plugin, Jason Levitt. His email address is within the sprintpcs.php file of the plugin!

Best regards,
Garvin

Hey all,

It's me, the original developer fo POPfetcher. I'm afraid that I haven't had time to keep up the Sprint attachment support. This is partially do to the fact that Lightsurf, the company that handles the photo/video/audio attachments for Sprint, keeps changing the format that they use for email msgs and the way they store the media on the backend.
If anyone wants to step up and work on the Sprint support, please do. Another thing, I'm switching to Cingular so I can use my new GSM phone. So, I won't even be able to test with Sprint in another couple of weeks.

Jason

P.S. At some point in the future, I'd like to refactor the whole plugin. The code is getting a bit unruly.
