Hosting others' blogs

Post by Rorschach »

I'm looking for a system that will enable my site to host other people's blogs (say several hundred people). Is Serendipity what I'm looking for or is this something that primarily caters to people who just want to run their own blog?

you can create new user inside the admin, but im not sure if you'll be able to let user sign up themselves, if that's only what your user want. all their blog will show up in the same blog though. but you can create categories for entries.

If you are able to use the Shared Installation mode, and care to put up work into creation your own scripts to manage users (which is not hard after all, and already described in our documentation) - then you will be able to host multiple users with one single s9y installation.

But as CapriSyke pointed out, there is no GUI for spawning multiple blogs; only multiple authors for a single blog.

Please look at our Wiki on s9y.org for detailed Documentation.
